I'm neither, although I don't eat any food with gelatine. I also look out for Eco friendly products.

As far as meat goes, I tend to mostly eat chicken or fish. Sometimes I will have other meats, but not regularly. I just don't like chewy meats, it's gross for me. D:

I'm a vegan. The reason is mainly to do with my love of animals and my strong belief that humans should not be permitted to interfere with nature in that kind of way. I actually made a thread for vegans and vegetarians not too long ago, if anyone's interested in sharing recipes or anything.

Lol what

humans are a part of nature.. have you forgotten that we, as a species, are animals too?

Humans are natural scavengers, so we've evolved to be able to adapt to any sort of diet (animal products & plant-based products AKA omnivorous diets), however eating the same of one thing can actually have a pretty large impact on your health.

If anyone is contemplating converting to veganism then I would strongly suggest you look into it properly and do your research, otherwise you could be left with some life-long health implications from a poorly planned life-style.

There was a big thread about vegetarianism before and I remember getting really stuck into it (I studied home economics at college and chose to do a huge case study on meat analogues appealed towards vegans/veges)

and to finally answer the thread question: partially.

I do consume some animal products (mainly white meats) but that's about it. Lamb, pork and beef have always sort of repulsed me so I tend to avoid all foods from those specific animals.

I don't eat fish as well (mainly because I just don't like fish)

im a sucker for dairy products though

I'm neither. I start to get really strong cravings for red meat after I haven't eaten any in a while. Right now, I could go for some ham.

I'm not either, but I wouldn't recommend becoming vegan, my cousin is and he literally can't eat anything and it's unhealthy for him.

Then you don't understand healthy veganism. Your cousin just isn't looking for options. I did fine as a vegan before however I needed to eat meat again because I was on a stimulant type ADHD medication and I lost too much weight because some people tend to eat less calories as a vegan. (Not always true.) But, I felt amazing as vegetarian and vegan. I've done both at separate times and I debate going back. Had more energy because I always get tired when I eat meat.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe what Bowie is referring to is the unsustainability and unnecessariness of intensive animal farming in it's current state. Factory farming and the systematic exploitation of animals is not the same as "scavenging". We must respect nature and the beauty of it. The underlying problem, I know, is corporate greed and excessive commercialization.

Where is this all coming from lol

I hardly eat meat but I can't consider myself a vegetarian or vegan. I don't not eat meat because I don't agree with the practices slaughterhouses and farms use but rather I don't really eat meat because I don't like the way a lot of it tastes. Sure, the way most farms and slaughter houses treat animals is undoubtedly cruel but there are places that kill animals in a more humane way. I'd never look down on someone for eating meat. I personally love seafood and wild turkey and I recently found out I like deer. I can't stand beef -- especially steak --, pork is alright every once in a great while, and chicken is okay but I only really like the organic kind. It just tastes better.

No I dont eat either of those ways :-)

I'm vegetarian, I've been most of my life. I was vegan for about 4 months but it's a very hard commitment, I noticed there's animal product in so many things you wouldn't even think of. But I'll most likely always be vegetarian, unless I convert back to vegan when I'm strong enough to commit. I doubt I could ever go back to eating meat, it's been so long my body isn't used to it.

Well technically I'm not, but the only meat I like is chicken and I still hardly eat it so I voted vegetarian. I'm planning to becoe one anyway.

Where's the neither option?

That's what I was looking for. I almost hit 'vegan' thinking it was something else.

Humans are omnivores, and I'm going to continue to be an omnivore. I love a good rare steak. :) And even now in my normal diet, I find it hard enough to get plenty of iron and B12. Aside from that, I hate most grains and nuts and crap - and how eating most carbs makes me feel, not to say I'm going for a low-carb fad diet though :P - so there goes omega-3s. Dairy-free, too, but I can't have dairy anyway because allergies.

So it's just the basics for me: meat, veggies, fruits, and some select herbs and spices. Sometimes some pasta. lol.

I love meat too much to quit it, though I don't mind anyone having these dietary choices.

Just so long as they aren't in the group of obnoxious ****s that act holier-than-thou about it.

I am not vegan or vegetarian, but I do care about animal welfare. For instance, I won't eat lobster at a restaurant unless I know that the cook uses the humane method. (I've actually grown to dislike lobster meat as an adult anyways O.o)
