Don't feel like doing the survey thing but I'm mostly right-wing with some left-wing views. I believe that women have the right to get an abortion and gays should be allowed to marry (which they finally can as of late, hooray) but most of my views are right-wing
I am very left-wing. I don't really like to pick sides, but I kind of have to when one is against a lot of things that are not just my views, but what I am.
The left/right distinction is pretty culturally relative; someone who's right wing/Conservative in Europe would be centre-left/Democrat in the US and waaaay to the left in most of South America.
I'm pretty socialist in most of my views, but I've been raised in a country where my education was paid for by the state, my heathcare was free at the point of use, and my roads were paved, so I think of myself not so much as 'idealistic' as 'well, this is pretty good, it's a shame not everyone has access to all these nice things'.
The first one I answered unsure for most of the choices. I could only answer 2 or 3 of them w/ any real certainty. The other tests I couldn't even complete: I only got a few questions in on the 2nd one, and nowhere w/ the last 2. I'm very politically indifferent!
I also kind of feel like those quizzes were bs. I mean I'd love to live in a world where there was equality, but since I don't equity is necessary. Of course we'd all prefer equality over equity but politics isn't about how things should be, it's about how we work with what we have.
