ohhh the appear in august? that makes sense then. i keep seeing guides say they appear NOW with no specifications (Northern hem too)i tt and have loads lol
i'm in the north hemi so for me they appear in august
like august to november
LUIGI IN MARIO 64 HSHSK big cry momentImagine if the devs did that. Like, in the guide book they mention a rice grasshopper and it's not in the game. Then people online claim they've seen them and it just becomes Luigi in Mario 64 all over again.
Then again, data mining would debunk that ASAP and ruin the whole thing...
THE BARBEL STEED'S GONE? WHATYes, rice grasshoppers appear in August, not June (I know that for a fact, if anything, the barbel steed isn’t in game as far as I am aware)
THE BARBEL STEED'S GONE? WHAT
not the barb.... 🕊fly🕊high🕊
Which ones were they?In addition to missing fish/bugs, there’s also some fossils they didn’t bring back which makes me sad![]()
Only ones I know for sure is no velociraptor and dinosaur eggs. A couple more standalones might be missing too?Which ones were they?
it wasnt the game guides, but rather social media guides. i have yet to see a guide... but they always been fishySo what did we learn today
ACNH game guides are absolute garbage
Honestly the misinformation around this game is just so abundant I don't think I've ever seen bull**** shared around this often

velociraptor for both these comments! replaced with a close cousin, the deinony smth cant spell it. so kindaWhich ones were they?
you're right, ribbon eel is in but not eel eel. the trout got replaced w goldenQuite a few are missing actually...
For fish, to add on to the barbel steed, the eel and rainbow trout are gone.
For bugs, they are the house centipede, lantern fly, oak silk moth and petal tail dragonfly
I have no idea If they ever plan to add these back in, but I’m always looking forward to expanding my museum (and catching more creatures to add to my critterpedia) I know they plan to add deep sea creatures back eventually, so maybe there’s hope, they got 3 years of updates planned, so I’m optimistic.

house centipede is finally gone yessss but rip the other bugs. DEEP SEA WILL DEFFO RETURN, i doubt they'd just remove that mechanic entirely.
thonky saved my butt in NL i love them so much.Deinonychus is how it’s spelled ;p
SM guides will always be a bit incorrect, it’s why I prefer looking at people that are lesser known and don’t want clicks, they just want to give correct info (thonky is one of them)
They are a life saver to be surethonky saved my butt in NL i love them so much.
there are a couple apps i use too that are p up to date for new horizons, i feel like people forget apps existThey are a life saver to be sure

oh right, they updated the designs too. i wonder if the lanternfly will come back?Oak silk moth is still here but name changed to Atlas Moth - pretty sure they're the same creature anyway? Had no idea about the others, thanks for the info!
They're two different species actually, they just look similarOak silk moth is still here but name changed to Atlas Moth - pretty sure they're the same creature anyway? Had no idea about the others, thanks for the info!
