Are the chicken villagers unpopular?

I'm not really interested in the chicken villager.

Are they unpopular?
Seems that quite a few people would like to keep or adopt a chicken villager here.

I got Becky and she is leaving the town in the 17th and I don't want her even though she is a starter in my town.

Ken's my favourite chicken, the rest are meh to me.

They are unpopular...take a look at the latest "least favorite villager species" thread.The chickens get mentioned more than once.I have a few chickens in my towns and I like 'em.I'm considering getting Plucky when the new Amiibo cards come out.

Yeah. People don't necessarily like them and they're honestly not that rare. I always feel like I have one and it's so annoying.

Becky is one of the few exceptions of chickens that I actually like.
Other than that... they aren't the best around.

Knox was kind of cool but he only was in my town for like a week and I didn't bother keeping him. He has a helmet on. Must be hard to sleep with that thing.

I also don't think they're too popular Nothing about them to me stands out as 'wow I must have that villager.'

From what I've seen, they're not that popular. I guess that's good if you're looking for chicken villagers because it means they will be cheap?

I actually like many of the chickens. But on the forums here, any species that doesn't have a pretty "cutesy" look is regarded as undesirable. Makes me a little sad, because I feel like the fun of an AC community is seeing the wide variety of town styles and villagers that appeal to different people. It's not terribly interesting when it feels like most people have all agreed on which villagers are "good" and which are ugly or boring.

They're not ugly or anything (I don't think so anyway?) but no, not popular
I actually think Ken is pretty cool. But as somebody else said, there's nothing about them that really makes me think 'wow, got to have them'. They just don't stand out to me

Yes, extremely unpopular. Some few do like them of course, but they're not a fan favorite. The one I can tolerate is probably Benedict.

i like the models of the chickens, i think theyre cute. personally none of their designs really appeal too much for me to want one but... chickens need more appreciation!

There not ugly. Chickens are great villagers, it's just design on what they are that people think as.

Aw I quite like Becky. I feel like some villagers aren't given a chance because they aren't adorable at first glance. Everyone loves the wolves, deer, cats, dogs, etc but I think the bulls are sweet and the horses are interesting. I miss the diversity in AC. Nowadays I feel like everyone has the same villagers.

I like Benedict. His name is cleverly cute for a chicken, and he was the only one to ever live in my town.

My dream used to be to have pet chickens in real life, until recently when I accepted that I don't want that kind of responsibility. So, I am just waiting for Benedict to move back in. :3
