So, while I was bored in bed, I decided to jump on my tablet and, on a whim, search the Google Play store for anything Animal Crossing related. I assumed that I wouldn't find anything. Oh was I wrong.

This little baby (which is free, by the way) is amazing. It is the closest thing to a full-on strategy guide that you can get. Find fish, bugs, fossils, whatever. What I love is you can check what time is best to try to catch things, AND you can mark off what you caught! It also lets you separate your lists between characters, so if you and your sibling/SO/parent/whatever share a game, you can keep track of what you've caught separately. It's also a treasure trove of information as far as how to unlock public works projects, villagers' coffee preferences, view birthdays. As someone who's a completionist, I'm beyond excited about this. I literally just spent about a half hour playing with this thing.

There's an iOS for it too. Seriously, download it. It will make your life so much easier.

Yes. Well, not a version of the app specifically for the PC. But I don't have a smartphone (I have an old Nokia/brick phone) and I use a program called Bluestacks that runs Android apps and you can use the apps on your computer.

I've had the app since the creator posted it. The only thing it doesn't keep track of (yet, I'm sure) is the hundreds of pieces of furniture and clothing items. It is definitely and awesome app...too bad it isn't optimized for the iPad...but it really doesn't look all that bad on it either.

I have this app on my iPod and use it all the time. There is also an app out on android called the ACNL Calculator which you can use when you're on the island catching bugs/fish.
