I think if there weren't a ton of variants with colors and such I wouldn't be having an issue with storage, but because I want everything in multiple colors it's proven difficult for me lol

I'm a heck of a hoarder. And I've been steadily up to 1500 storage used already... I'm trying to sell some of it, but I consistently keep collecting more. Haha.

I wish there were separate storage for the categories, or at least one for furniture/wallpaper/floors/rugs, one of clothes, one for bugs/fish/critters, and then one for tools and materials for crafting. I think that would be ideal.

They did set it up pretty nicely with the categories they have and how you can swap between them, but even 1600 isn't enough if you play the game a lot and keep a lot of things (and/or hoard bugs/fish for Flick and CJ).

I'd probably remove all extra tools. You can fix yours with customization. Plus new tools are dirt cheap. Buy the flimsy and then upgrade with iron.

Second you probably have more materials than you'll ever need in your life, so you could either sell some or put it in storage on an alt account.

I mean, like 100-400 spots are expensive bugs and fish for Flick/CJ, so there’s always some breathing room... though I wish they came more often than useless visitors like Kicks! Thanks for the selection of three shoes I’d never own, my skunk

Yeah, definitely. It wouldn't be quite so bad if you could make larger stacks of materials, but with 10-30 per stack for most materials and items using so many of those materials, you need to keep a lot on hand if you plan to do any crafting. Especially for seasonal items.

Then there's my ~930 clothing items that I definitely need just in case.

I've been hoarding a lot of crafting materials and shells (Because I've heard from my friend that the shell furniture needs quite a bit of different shells) as well as hoarding waaaay too much clothing...I just need every color LOL

Use the catalogue, just keep the color you use the most and sell/trade all the others, and if you ever need them, you can get them from the catalogue.

I'm completing the clothes catalogue half the way there, so this has helped me.

It would be pretty awesome if they upgraded it to around 2000. I'm at around 1300 or 1400 right now, and that's after getting rid of quite a bit of stuff. I'll be adding another character and upgrading their house pretty soon. Between two characters, 3200 slots will definitely be enough at least.

I loved having that in NL. I'd keep the current season's clothing in a wardrobe and store the rest. Every three months I'd swap it out. Always knew what I had and where it was.

I would be happier if all crafting mats stacked to 99. What is with some stacking to 10, others 30, and others 99. Nonsense.

I'm okay right now but once there is a bunch of seasonal stuff I can't just re-order I'm going to have problems.

i've got maybe 1,000/1,600 in storage right now because i've been storing so so much stuff! i would love more, but i know i'd have tons of space if i sold all of the stuff i didn't actually want.

Storage is a big challenge for me. I have a hard time parting with stuff to make room. I have a clothing addiction for sure. I grind and save for the next house upgrade but the extra storage is never enough.

I was a terrible hoarder in NL so I've been trying to keep it under control in NH. I'm only saving seasonal/non-orderable stuff and items that are popular for cataloging, and I think I'm still under 800, even with bugs stored for Flick.

I'd love more storage or save mail. Saved mail in ACNL was good for storing non-orderable items.
Crafting items should have a different storage. It would be nice if it was stored in the DIY bench.

I think I'm fine with the amount of storage, at least for now. It would be kinda nice if clothing had it's own separate storage though. 5 different colors of the same type of sock/hat/dress/shirt/etc takes up a lot of space

The thing is, most of us won't have just one piece of a specific item, be it furniture, clothing or any other thing. This, paired with the large amount of items available in the game, makes the otherwise generous limit of 1.600 items in storage feel quite low.

I would say that, with the items currently available, a limit of 3.000 items would be ideal.

between crafting supplies and bugs/fish, not massively clothes hoarding, maybe 200 each of the clothing and furniture... 1500+/1600. since i don't TT, every bell counts and i store all bugs/fish 1000+ for bells. i cleared up 900+ slots over the past 2 days between CJ and then flick showing up... doesn't help that they're showing up about 1 1/2 -2 weeks apart.
