I'm honestly too close to taking this route, lol. Has anyone else done this, or planning to? Amazon's German site does international shipping, so that's where I'm leaning toward, tbh. But is this even a good idea? I'm afraid it might not be delivered, of get tied up in customs or something else.

So really, I guess I'm looking for advice...pros/cons...all that jazz.

I heard on a Youtube video that the console box itself will not be assembled. It'll be sent flat instead by most places. So, there's less chance of it being damaged. But, that makes you wonder how the actual console will be packaged?

I've never ordered a console from Amazon, but from what I've heard they sometimes won't package them all that well. (Meaning, they just place the item in a box with no extra padding.) I can imagine it'd get thrown around quite a bit especially being an international parcel but, it might be fine.

The reality is if it's your only way of getting the console and you really want it, then I'd say just go for it.

Is it sold out where you live?

I guess you just might want to look into customs and import duties first. If there are you could check whether the total price of console + duties + shipping really is better than what you'd pay with another seller that might sell it for more where you live (in case it is sold out).

If you already have a Switch you could also look into buying the spare ACNH parts from Japan, they should be selling them separately.
