Anyone have Cranston moving out?

I was time traveling today (yes, I know...) because I wanted to get rid of my tan and regrow my grass faster, and in the process Cranston moved away. It totally blinded-sided me too because I talk to him a lot every day and he always sent me letters and he was my favorite. Now I'm depressed going into my game since he's gone

Does anyone have him moving away and not already claimed? I would love to have him back.

you have to kick out 16 more villagers to cycle him out of your game file before getting him back.
when a villager moves out, they still visit places like the roost and the shopping district. 16 neighbors are stored, so that's why you need to do that.

Aw really? Well poop. I guess it serves me right for time traveling. I was kind of hoping somebody I ignored would have left (coughRIZZOcough) but :| I'll just have to hope that my next camper is someone I really want to move in.

I mean I already have 2 other villagers with the lazy/doofus personality, but Cranston was special ;A;
