King of the Hill reboot... Anyone else excited?

I haven't actually dug very deep into this. So I don't know about Luanne or Lucky. Lucky definitely became one of my favorite characters towards the end though, even as a side character.

There are a lot of talented voice actors out there and they can definitely do the voices (my Uncle had a student who went on to do Bart Simpson's voice for commercials at the height of the Simpson's).

I guess we will see what's coming!
Yeah you never know how something will turn out. I randomly heard about the Samurai Jack revival and I loved that show! I feel the final season started off great, but it lost a lot of traction toward the end. So you never know how things will turn out, but I have faith in the Koth crew and its creators.

Side note @-Blue-

I was told you might appreciate this patch on my backpack. From what you said, I have a feeling you will get the quote, and double meaning!

I've only watched a little of the original series, but I plan on watching more since the characters and writing were good for a cartoon targeting adults. Hank Hill is one of my favorite fictional characters, mostly because I look like his younger version. When I reach Hank Hill's canonical age, in real life, I want to cosplay with him for a convention. I could do it now, but waiting until my 40s would make the cosplay more authentic.

I started this thread with high hopes, but the voice actors seem to tragically keep passing away 😔 I cant handle it at this point.

I don’t really like the show that much because I really really hate Hank but part of me is curious to see what will happen in the reboot.

Jonathan Joss was shot and killed. I guess that's why I posted again... he was the voice of John Redcorn.

I didn’t even know he was gay until his husband posted about his murder. Jonathan’s husband is claiming it was a homophobic motivated hate crime and that they had been targets for death threats for years and that the police did nothing to help them even after being told that the men’s neighbors threatened to burn their house down (which actually did happen). It’s just a really unfortunate way to kick off Pride month.

King of the Hill is my favorite of the adult animations. So I dearly hope that this does the original justice.

Sidenote: What happened to Jonathan Joss is absolutely horrific. House burned down, dog murdered, and then shot and killed. How can people be this monstrous?

What’s even worse is that the police knew about these threats and did nothing to help protect the men because they thought it wasn’t a hate crime or anything that serious. I’m pretty sure that being told by someone that they are going to kill you and that not even you own home will be safe from being destroyed is a very serious situation. And of course this all happened down in Texas where homophobic hate crimes often get ignored.
