Anyone Ever Been Scammed on TBT?

I gave out a bad rating to someone, and that person retaliated by not only giving me one back but also trying to stick it to me further with additional comments that were accusations and implications. Reading it more than once, for a full understanding of the person's context, it revealed he/she didn't have a thorough understanding of "Animal Crossing: New Leaf." But it does explain why I don't have a 100-percent Wi-Fi Rating. That person isn't lately active. And, by the way, this didn't have anything to do with trading. It was me playing host to people, including that individual, who were in my original town of Applewin for a visit. (Tour the town. Say "hi" to the villagers. Go to the island. Etc.) All others who have visited have never been a problem; they weren't given a "negative" rating by me; and no one else has given a "negative" rating to me. Generally, I've found that Bell Tree Forums Members are here because they sincerely appreciate the game; they want to continue enjoying the game; and they know that they will succeed with continuing their pleasure of playing the game because they're experienced, are enthusiastic, and they are realistic and understanding.
I don't mind if someone's wi-fi rating isn't a 100% because I know that some people might give out negative ratings out of spite or for whatever reason. As long as the person has got a majority of positive ratings (I also read the comments sometime if a lot is at stake), I don't mind. :)

No i haven't been scammed before but I took a lot of precautions as in, not trading first and doing trades in my town. Also checking wifi ratings and if the user doesn't have wifi ratings, i usually check when they joined and how active they are on forums. Also people with no wifi ratings are usually willing to go first to prove that they are trustworthy.

Im not in a rush to sell/trade things, if someone seems untrustworthy, there is ALWAYS another person who has the same thing.

Well, I just checked my Wi-Fi Feedback, and that person's "negative" rating against me was removed.

So I am at 100 percent. As of 03.04.2014 @ 09:48 a.m. ET: it is 120-for-120.

I'm glad. I appreciate it. (Whoever I need to be thanking, "Thank you!")

Since I just joined here this thread has definitely given me some confidence in interacting with the community here. ^-^

I've never been scammed, but I do try to delete certain types of people from my list after trading because 9/10 they run into my town and see my shop orders and will be all: "I need this Q.Q can I have it pleeeeeeease?" Or they will ask to look around at inconvenient times or just be generally annoying to me that I will grit my stylus because of them.

I haven't had any but I haven't done too many trades either. Everyone I've dealt with has been super nice.

I've never been scammed though I have had people from TBT show up uninvited during trades. Like I'll open the gates for the person to come and somebody else will show up and refuse to leave. There have also been times when I've forgotten to close the gates and somebody else has come to my town in the middle of the trade.

One of the times was specially scary because a random TBTer showed up while I was trading with someone from tumblr, the WiFi errored and the person's bells and item stayed in my town. Luckily they were able to come back and everything was fixed @__@

After that I deleted the girl that always showed up uninvited. I felt bad because she seemed very young, but she was messing up so many of my trades >__<

do you guys remember that guy who scammed someone out of maple [lucassimms or whatever]
i swear i saw him before in gamefaqs or some guy like him but im almost sure it was him, on the topic of TBT, I know many of who have been scammed out of tbt bells, villagers etc. i know you won't believe me [TBT is nice], but there are as many scammers here as ACC, no offence to TBT members, obviously.

NEVER HERE. And very happy. People tried to scam me on French forums, but I just flicked the wifi and done. I also was almost scam for polemics on French forum ._.
Tbt is like a real honest website, the wifi rating is just an amazing system imo :9

Uggh that guy was pathetic.

Also, someone got scammed out of Bob. But the person scammed in the first place has like -5 wi-fi ratings (for scamming and trolling) now, so I don't feel as sympathetic. I'm not pointing out names and if it is you who was scammed from Bob reading this, I don't mean to sound horrible against you.

sadly enough, yes. Out of a couple TBT bells of mine which I was selling on to fund my town. ;_; I never got the in-game bells for my TBT bells, after I gave them she had to go, and I told her through VM to message me when she gets back so we can trade, it uh.. never happened, and when I asked again she said 'In a couple hours', of which she was offline after that. ><

Can't bring myself to report her, to be honest. It kinda sucks.

Only really been scammed once and it was on Reddit in a villager trade.
When I first joined and had some general new person questions some people on TBT were rather rude
but for the most part since I've met only kind and trustworthy people.

I have had EXACTLY the same experience... What?

Oh, and in the olden days when I sold bush starts I flicked the switch cos someone ran through the hybrids.
I have given 6 people - ratings and all the rest +

I was trading a villager a long while back and I can't remember the price, but they paid about 10% of the actual price they offered. A little bit disgruntled, I flicked the wifi switch and ended up giving the villager away for free to a nice person who deserved it. Never tried to sell a villager again.
