Anyone Ever Been Scammed on TBT?

I've come to realize that I've grown much less cautious of others in AC since joining TBT. Everyone's really kind 96% of the time, but I remember having to take a ton of precautions when trading with people on gamefaqs back at launch. TBT's a great community, but I'm just wondering: Does anyone have any stories of scams going down on TBT?

I started meeting AC fans on IG and I've had been stolen from twice now. That's when I started finding different ways to connect with AC fans. I haven't had any visitors or visited anyone from here yet but it makes me glad to hear something so positive right off the back

Only really been scammed once and it was on Reddit in a villager trade.
When I first joined and had some general new person questions some people on TBT were rather rude
but for the most part since I've met only kind and trustworthy people.

Have not seen any,but I am extremely cautious in Gamefaqs as there are loads of er, "meanies" in that website. I also take some precaution here,which kinda offends people sometimes(really sorry).I blame the TF2 community as there are LOADS of scammers in that game -shivers- made me traumatised.

I wouldn't count it as a scam, but when I first joined someone hosted a small bells giveaway and I won but when they tried to give me the money it kept disconnecting, then they said they would try again later but never did. And then they got banned.
It was a giveaway so I'm not going to pursue it or anything but but but false hopes because I was super poor then ): (but now I have turnips \o/)

i don't think this counts, but i sold 100 tbt bells and she laid down 7 99k bags, but one was just 1000.
i didn't confront her though

Yeah, and people can be quite opinionated sometimes, but yeah for the most part people are quite nice!

Yes. Someone got Lucky from me and she was supposed to pay 18M but she didn't.

Nope, although I don't really trade much on here anymore, lol. I've seen a "scam report" thread before though, but it got locked a few hours later.
