I'm proud to say that I own a working Gameboy Color. I only currently have one game for it. I got it from a shop that sells older games consoles, both handheld and those that have wires to plug into the TV. I have Pokemon Blue. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else owns this handheld console and if you do what games do you have for it? Any recommendations for other games for this console?
I still play on a Game Boy Pocket myself. I own an original Game Boy (with the four AA batteries) and a GBC. For games I have PLENTY of recommendations. Ready?
Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins
Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow Versions
Pokemon Gold, Silver, Crystal Versions
The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening (regular or DX)
The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Seasons
Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge
Tetris Attack

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
Kirby's Dream Land
Mole Mania
Tetris
Donkey Kong 94
Solar Striker

Game & Watch Gallery 1-3
DuckTales 2
Catrap

Final Fantasy Adventure
Kirby's Block Ball

The only games on this list that require a GBC are Pokemon Crystal Version, Oracle Of Seasons, SMB Deluxe, Mario Tennis and Magical Drop.
I don't play my GameBoy Color anymore, but I do sometimes play a GBC game or two on my GBA SP. Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is one game I love going back to from time to time. So much nostalgia.
My 3DS is essentially one of Game Boy/Game Boy Color machine xD 95% of the software I have on it is VC (the rest being Crimson Shroud and the Ace Attorney games).

I didn't even know Pong was on the GBC lol. I wish Nintendo would've added several more VC titles to the 3DS. Especially the Super Nintendo library (traded up to a New 3DS XL in 2016).
I still own my Gameboy Color, I think it went to storage. It still works, last time I checked. But it got so much play back in the day thanks to Pokemon that it is undoubtedly a little worn down. It's even one of the Special Pikachu edition GBCs.
However, once the GBA SP came out, there was no looking back to me for handhelds without a lit screen. Handhelds without a lit screen are an inconvenience I can't bear to return to. lol
Lately I have been urging to look for my purple GBC and play some Pokemon Yellow... and maybe the Dragon Warrior Monsters game. All I remember is to stay away from the Rugrats in Time game and Simpsons Night of the Living Treehouse game that I bought back in the day. lol

I have a pink one, but then my favorite color changed to purple and I didn't like it any more. I fixed it be painting pictures of Pok?mon on it. It still works, but I haven't played it in a while.
I'm pretty sure that my GBC has been lost to time and the cracks in my parents house, but I do still have my Legend of Zelda GBA that I occasionally pick up to play through the original Ruby game.
I owned a Game Boy Color when I was younger and it is probably still around somewhere, but I don't know where it would be and I don't think I'd really want to bother playing it at this point if I did find it. The only things I really played on the Game Boy were old Pokemon games and apparently the batteries would wear out in those games and delete your saves, so I'm not entirely sure that there's even anything to go back to at this point.
I usually utilize the Virtual Console to play that era of games these days. Simpler to just download the games from the eShop than track down cartridges and whatnot.
I don't own a Gameboy Color but even if I would have one, I guess I wouldn't play with
it that much. Guess it would be fun to play here and there some of the old games, but
I wouldn't spend hours over hours on them. My interest isn't that big enough at that
point to be honest...
I have a yellow GBC which I just ordered some games for! I don't play it a lot due to hardly being able to see it, but I remember really enjoying the Mario port and Kirby's Pinball Land. I'm waiting for a Japanese copy of Pok?mon Crystal to ship. I've also ordered a few bootleg Pok?mon games because I find them hilarious.
I don't have a Gameboy Color, but I do have a Gameboy Advance SP.
Sadly, my only GBC game, Zelda Oracle of Seasons, has died on me. Based on what I read online, changing the battery isn't going to fix mine.
I've been meaning to buy it on the 3DS eShop, but I have too many other priorities.
I do have these regular Gameboy games, though:
Pokemon Red
Pokemon Yellow (Plays as a GBC game, though)
Kirby's Dream Land
Kirby's Pinball Land
Doctor Mario
Tetris
Not sure if this counts but I also have Pokemon Silver on 3DS virtual console.
