I accidentally gave someone my diy table during a trade. I can order a new one so not a big deal, but kind of embarrassing. Missing on catching bugs repeatedly I had a scorpion trapped on scorpion island behind holes and it was running around. It took me 5 minutes to catch it and no one wanted to help me because they thought it was funny to watch me struggle (I’m not mad at them I can laugh at myself)

Jeez that is brutal. The worst I've done is cancel a request while talking to Orville so I had to read his ten pages of dialogue all over again.
didn't reset even once when picking my first island map. I was too excited to get started playing haha. even though my map is just kind of middling and there isn't any monstrosities, there's definitely things I'd change if I could.
I made a vow to never reset though because that sucked the fun out of new leaf for me and my problems with it are way too petty to justify a whole reset lol

I gave Blanche a tricycle. It auto-saved. She now has a stupid little tricycle in her house.

I cleared out storage of walls and floors, not realizing until too late that I had included some Saharah items. I don't mind on most, but I had *just* got the mossy garden wall. Can't seem to get it again for love nor money.
I haven’t made many terrible mistakes yet. The only one I can think of is the map I chose. I like my map ok overall, but I did pick one with resident services as close as it could possibly be to the airport. I’m not exaggerating, I have five tiles between the two, so I can’t have any kind of entrance really. That’s about it.
Not a “horrible mistake” exactly, but a few days ago I accidentally gave Sherb a green neon diner sign that I had in my pockets instead of the wrapped present I was supposed to give him. He now has it proudly on display in his house and won’t replace it with any of the blue furniture I have since given him 
This!!! my town centre is too close to the airport which i've since made work pretty well. It still bothers me that my dock is 1 tile off centre to the town hall though and I hope for an update that lets us move the buildings one day. I've come too far to make a new game now, and I'm nostalgic to island 1.
Oh no! I made a few mistakes. I sold two pearls today by accident when I was selling sea creatures at Nook's Cranny. At the time I thought maybe the sea creatures sold for a really good price. Then someone on this site mentioned pearls and I had realized that I sold mine.

Oh dang, that sucks! I did something similar a while ago to a rare item that I honestly can't remember what it was anymore. I remember looking everywhere on my island, inventory, etc and couldn't find it, so I assumed I must have accidentally sold it. I was mad, but like I said, I don't even remember what the item was anymore!
