Anyone else made a second character?

I do too! I make alts in every game I play. In FFXIV I have eight characters and I always felt like I needed to find some proper justification for it whenever I wanted a new one. I don't know, like a weird mix of guilt or self-consciousness but not really either of those things? It's certainly not a rational thing.

God I hope this makes some sense to you and that I didn't just proudly reveal myself to be a maladjusted obsessive altaholic to someone who just doesn't want too many alts for a totally normal reason lol.

I think my weird feeling in AC may be that I like being the only human on an island full of animals. Throwing more humans in makes it feel less special.

Also, I'd feel like if I had more characters, I'd have to interact with all of my villagers with them every day or it would seem weird. And that seems pointless to me.

Yeah, I made a second char (I like to have at least a boy and girl so I can play with different outfits and themes)

I might make one someday. I don't like how you have to go through the effort of making a new Switch profile to do it, just cause of the clutter, but it would be cool to do like a cafe or smth with a second house (then again I'd prefer Brewster's haha)

That's totally understandable. Sometimes daily stuff with multiple characters starts to feel like a chore. Sahara is a nightmare with multiple alts. That super inefficient transaction is more of a time investment than I would like on one character, five becomes quite tedious indeed.

I have 2 characters:Chara and Kris, my main problem right now is figuring out room ideas, as I keep running out storage space.I have ideas for other characters, but I would like to focus on the ones I have now

I love having multiple characters... well, more accurately, I love multiple buildings to decorate! I have made characters so I can make a diner/restaurant, a hotel, a lecture hall/administration offices next to the museum, and a surf shack on the beach! I still have lots to purchase and decorate, but it's fun making more businesses for my island. The characters all have back stories too because RP, right?
