Anyone else like to customize their phone icons? 💖✨📱✨💖

Anyone else here customize their phone icons or home page? As usual, I’m 200 years late to the party, but I spent most of last night teaching myself how to customize the IOS Home Screen. The icons were actually really easy to make myself with free vectors and the Canva app, and I used a free app called “Widgetsmith” to do the widgets. I’m super pleased with how it turned out!

Spoiler: It still spies on me, but now it’s aesthetic!

What about you guys? Do any other IOS users here like to customize their icons and home pages? I know android users can do something similar too, so feel free to share any custom home pages no matter what your OS!

This is so cool how do you do this! I’m on iOS 14.3 I don’t wanna update cuz then I won’t be able to play Twilight Princess on my phone

i used to have cool icons on my phone that came from Zedge but they removed icons from the app for some reason so I can't download them anymore. I used to love the 80s and Neon icon packs. since I've changed around my icons in the last year or so only the neon music icon remains on my home screen.

If I could figure out where to download Zedge icons again, or perhaps another place that has similar icon packs, that would be great. I've tried to use CocoPPA and it won't work on my phone for some reason.

That's pretty cool! Glad to learn there's something like this for the iPhone, given its often limited customization features. I might consider doing this myself, but I have quite a few folders and I don't know if that would work or even look good when customized. (Plus, I could definitely do without the spying...)

I’m pretty sure you can do this on IOS 14+. I did it, and I wasn’t on IOS 14.4 until I upgraded.

i do!!! i used to do it on my iphone, now i have an android and i fin it much easier lol i also like cute widgets and makimg the backgrounds match!!!

I don’t because it’s just a lot of work and I’m not too familiar with how to do this either. It’s not a big deal for me.

i had a lot of fun using cocoppa to customize my apps when i used an android phone! its nice that iphone offers it now as well (no idea how long thats been a thing).

the only issue i had was it always left me with a lot of browser tabs open whenever i clicked on the icons since they used a web address to route to the correct app and i got annoyed from dealing with that. if it doesnt work that way anymore then thats awesome! i actually removed all the apps from my main page when that update came out and havent done anything to my home page since haha i just use the directory to find the apps. i think the widgets are neat but i couldnt decide how i wanted my home page to look so i just leave it blank lol

I am slowly trying to teach myself how to do this. I'm "new" to iPhone this year(I had one years ago but it was older and not very nice?) so it's all been a big learning process. Just downloaded Widgetsmith since I see that's what you used! I have been trying to use Color Widgets and it gets confusing for me. ^^;

I've never tried this but I remember when it was first unveiled on social media and everyone was posting their custom screen icons, some were incredibly pretty and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. However I don't have the patience to try this and remain a traditionalist at heart when it comes to my screen icons.

I love doing it!! Customization is like the most important thing to me (that's why I only buy galaxy phones, for the theme store lol) and I love to look up images for the buttons, edits and such. I'm kinda lazy and don't change my layout much because that, this is the one that I used for the longest
My only complain is that android phones make the icons too small, I prefer how they look on iphones (also being unable to change the font color if you're using a custom icon)

I think I saved the icons in the wrong color format (they look more pastel on the gallery), but aside from that I really liked this one.

Thanks I just downloaded these apps, I've been wondering how to do this. I'm definitely going to be using these I just added a Halloween countdown widget app to one of my home screens and am going to subscribe to Canva to get the icons

yeah! you've been able to do this on samsung for literally years, and i have a couple of sets downloaded -- some that were free, some that cost under £1, including the set i currently have installed which makes all the icons pastel and rabbit themed. they're super cute!

I'd love something for my OnePlus since it's probably the ugliest interface after some older Samsungs but yeah I still need to look into it since free ones are usually flooding in ads.
