Anyone else like the jock personality?

Better than the lazies in acnh who wont stop talking about bugs anyways (please stop Sherb) their personalities really took a turn for the worse in acnh, before they were just chill and liked food, now they're disgusting slobs

If it makes you feel any better, they're a lot more tolerable in the Japanese version. They're kind of just big kids who like to eat, sleep and have fun -- every once in a while I'll see a comment that implies they're a little slovenly, but the references to talking bugs and other repetitive gags are more or less nonpresent.

I should also add that I'm currently missing a jock so I'm kinda desperate for some jock in my life.

I'll be honest and admit I didn't like them that much in previous games, but NH really changed that for me! I love having Dom around and he's one of my favorites since he's probably the biggest donut eater ever. Plus the muscle soreness conversations are extremely relatable for me right now so I always get a laugh out of it

Not my favorite personality, but if I get attached to the villager I quite love them. ^^
In New Leaf I had Ribbot and later Mott, in Horizons now I have Bam, not sure if I'll have more but so far so good!

I love Jocks in new horizons, more than I ever did in new leaf! Billy was very sweet, and Scoot reminds me to stay hydrated which I have a hard time remembering, so the reminders actually help me a lot.

They're funny LOL I don't mind them. I have Rudy and it's honestly so cute whenever he talks about his big muscles but all I see is a smol cat

If someone asked me to pick a least favorite personality and wouldn’t take “none of them” for an answer I’d have to say jocks, but I still really like them!! ;-; I think they’re probably just less relatable because most people aren’t massive fitness buffs + some of their dialogue is kinda over the top (no, Teddy, it’s not muscular of me to give you a gift. please don’t say you’re flexing you’re gratitude muscles again...) but it doesn’t matter to me, I like all the personalities. It also helps them in NH specifically that they don’t call you brosephine anymore, I mean, does anyone even say that irl? I like the jocks in NL too but they’re a million times better without “brosephine” in their vocabulary imo!

I’ve heard this same thing from a couple of other people and it makes me both sad and relieved at the same time lol. Lazies are my favorite personality in every other game but 2nd or maybe 3rd in NH because I think the bug talk is way too gross and it’s so frequent, not to mention contradictory to how in NL they make sure to tell you they don’t have bugs in their houses... I couldn’t have 2 lazies on my island because of it. The Japanese lazies sound so much closer to why I always loved them!!

I actually like the jock personality! I can see how the muscle talk could be tiring, but I find the jocks in AC to be friendly, sweet, and the most likely to give me items.

My favorite character in my NL village was Jay. I have Jitters in my main village and I may be one of the only people who like him, but he's not leaving my village.

I have Dom in my second village, and I do believe he is shaping up to be one of my all time favorites. And I love that Dom (and Jitters, for that matter) just doesn't seem like a typical jock. He talks about his muscles, but he's just a fluffy sheep who likes running around like an airplane. Also, when he does exercise, it is heartbreakingly adorable!

I don't think I could pick a favorite personality, but I think jocks in AC are great.

i've liked them a lot of more in this game than in previous games and i don't really know why lol. maybe because i've gotten more attached to the villager themselves this time around so most of the time i end up not really caring about the personality type.

I actually love the reminders as well! Im usually too focused playing animal crossing LOL

I'm not crazy about the jock personality in general, but I do love some jock villagers! My fave, Roald, is a jock, and I think it's hilarious to see that lil round penguin talk about working out constantly.

I think there are complaints about every villager type. Some I've heard: peppy's are too sweet and over-the-top, smugs are too flashy, lazies talk about floor bugs too much, normals are too boring, uchis are ugly, etc. At the end of the day, they're all great in different ways, and people will like what they like. I, for one, am a huge fan of the normals!

I have no problem with them until they gift me something they've sweat in, washed, and still has the stench that they told me not to smell. Why would you gift me a sweaty item?
