so the first story I wrote was kinda aimless, I don't intend to bring that one back bc I honestly have no clue where I was going with it lol. I was like 12 or 13 it was the first fanfic I wrote, and when i write I just throw out whatever comes out of my mind, so I'm not surprised it's a mess. It involved a lot of my super mario FCs though, including the two in my signature.
the second one is more interesting and actually has a somewhat coherent plot to it (and my most recent drawing is actually a scene from it). it takes place in Whomp's Fortress (the level from SM64, it's always been one of my favorites), and the plot is basically that a small, stray chain chomp wanders into the fortress and they decide to keep it there, despite the fact that they were worried about the Chomp King (another FC of mine) noticing that one of his troops was missing. he's known for being absolutely ruthless and taking extreme measures to make sure he gets his way, but because Shadow was already so attached to the chomplet they kept it anyways. I actually didn't get much further than that, but I did come up with a scene where the Chomp King actually does discover that his troop is missing, and when he finds where it is he wreaks havoc on everyone at the fortress. I would love to flesh out his character more so I'd like to try to rewrite this one.
the third one originally didn't have much of a plot but I have a good idea for one. it starts out with Daniel (my New Leaf mayor) getting on a train with Cole, and as they're talking he notices a girl (Amelia, an Animal Crossing OC but not one I've had in any of the games) a few seats down, sobbing. after talking with her he discovers that she ran away from home because her father died and her mother basically went crazy. the three get off together at a trail, and while Cole is hanging out at the playground, Daniel and Amelia go for a walk and talk for a while. he cheers her up and she becomes really attached to him, and he realizes that he actually likes her a lot too. Daniel and Cole head home while Amelia stays at the park, and when they got back Cole was drowzy but Daniel was ecstatic. then comes the interesting part, the part I want to add. he wonders why he feels this way and since he's not used to acting so "out of line" he tries to contain it and act cool. [this next part is new] he can't stop thinking about Amelia though, he even dreams about her. he's woken up in the middle of the night by a knock on the door, and realizes that Amelia had found him and wants to stay in his village because she has nowhere else to go. however he appears to be more distant to her this time because he's embarrassed and prides himself on being logical and independent. he's not used to expressing any genuine emotions to people, especially not a romantic interest. so basically through the course of the story he has to learn how to overcome his pride and express his true feelings.
the fourth one is kinda the most touchy subject, because it deals with mental health issues, and I'm still not 100% sure how to tackle it yet. basically, it's set in the peaceful village of Sunville, and one day a sixteen year old boy named Tristin moves in. upon first meeting him the animals already sense something wrong with him, though they aren't sure what it is. he heads to his new house, and when Tom Nook begins pestering him to work part-time at his shop Tristin threatens him, scaring him off. but Tristin suddenly realizes that he can't be doing things like that anymore, he doesn't want to be caught. later that evening, Chief goes to his house for a visit (Goldie begged him to give Tristin a chance and get to know him before judging), and while visiting he feels immensely nervous. eventually he asks Tristin why he decided to move here, and he's almost attacked. emotions shift a lot in the house and Chief can't handle it, so he hurriedly leaves. Goldie still has hope for the child, though, and the next day she goes to visit him. that's when she learns that he has a serious mental health issue which causes him to hear voices and lash out, and when Apollo shows up to investigate he is almost attacked as well. Goldie pities Tristin but she doesn't know how to help, so she tells him that he can go to the river pond to reflect and then quickly leaves.
[this part is what I wrote last night] that evening, Goldie and Apollo are arguing. Goldie still wants to give Tristin a chance, but Apollo feels no pity, claiming that his actions are inexcusable and he needs to leave the village. he storms out of the house, much to Goldie's dismay, and he confronts Tristin himself, telling him off and threatening to force him to leave if he doesn't leave on his own. so in the middle of the night, Tristin dresses up as his alter-ego, breaks into Apollo's house, and destroys most of his stuff. the next day he has locked himself in his own house, and the animals are all terrified and don't know what to do. eventually Goldie is able to convince everyone to stay home so the town is nice and quiet/empty, and she lures Tristin out so she can talk to him. from there she learns why he moved to their village and what's been going on, why he acts the way he does. he doesn't mean to harm anyone, but his conscious convinces him to seek revenge on anyone who wrongs him and the impulse is often hard to refuse. the rest of the story deals with Goldie trying to break Tristin out of his past trauma and allow him to heal, while simultaneously dealing with the neighbors who are extremely skeptical and weary of him and don't want to give him a chance. they think Goldie is insane for wanting to help him but she doesn't care, she is a caring person by nature and can't bear to simply cast Tristin aside. I would like to figure out all the logistics of his trauma before I really start to write this, though, because I know that PTSD/trauma is a very touchy topic and I don't want to make anyone upset by writing it without all the knowledge I can get.
wow I really went all out with that lol
