anyone else here write fanfics?

Not sure that is counting as fanction, but I did create stories about Dark Link and "Princess Zari", who was going to be the girlfriend of Dark Link. I did have a slight obsession with him, yeah.. okay, it's still there. I still like to create stories about him and Princess Zari (me) getting together. That's my little secret >:

I have the stories totally written out in my head and can remember them, even recreate them in LoZ Twilight Princess, so I guess that counts as fanfiction? 😂

I don't write any fanfics these days, and I have no interest in doing so tbh. The last time I did write fanfics was back in 2005 or so. I can't fully remember what games I did fanfics of, though I do remember Golden Sun being one of them, though I never actually finished (and, really, only barely started) those fanfics.

I've been writing in general since middle school but I started writing fanfics around 2010 and I still actively write fanfics, mostly video games. I had some ideas about how I wanted certain characters to interact and what sort of situation I would like to see them in, I guess it's my headcanon come true. I have an active account on FanFiction.net (link to it is in my sig if anyone is curious to check it out) and I'm actually progressing very nicely on my current Super Smash Bros. fanfic. Writing is a lot of fun, it's relaxing and it's such a great form of self-expression. I prefer writing to drawing, personally.

Even if you think what you wrote sucks, the more you write the more you improve, little by little. And reading is an excellent way to improve your writing, believe it or not. Playing video games is how I learned so many new words lol so I'm one of those that believes that the right video games can teach you. I take my time to read character dialogue, item descriptions, etc. because I just really enjoy the little details in everything.

I also write my own original work with my own OCs. They're short stories, fiction/fantasy, some are romance and some are horror. I've brainstormed tons of ideas and just write to see how far I can take them. Now, those ideas are mostly just drafts but I like to compare my old work with my new to see how my writing style has changed throughout the years. It's definitely improved considerably and now I have an established writing style I'm satisfied with.

Aaah, I would genuinely like to try writing some but alas I can't even write an original short story without major issues (I can't figure out the climax and resolution :'-) plus I don't think I could really replicate the characters personalities well enough, that I have major second hand embarrassment issues that always activates when I try to draw fanart or the like, I hate it, so much. It prevents me from researching.

But between us, I did recently kinda try and I think I did... decently? Granted I changed names around to make it seem like it was oc's but it really was a type of fanfic. Just a small little chatfic chapter thing and I actually finished it! And like it! That's a milestone for me, it was fun to work on and I like the end product so happy days.

But yeah, I read fanfics like I get paid for it, I have so many tabs open that I had to open a new browser window to fit more, I hop from one story and fandom to the next like a dolphin but I don't close the tab cause I'm not finished my attention span will be captured by another and flop back over at some point.
I don't really use social media, my main sites, the ones I spend all my time on are literally Ao3 and Youtube and nothing else.
If I ever become a youtuber and I do something to invoke drama it wouldn't be able to touch me, I don't go on Twitter. Invincible.

Did I! I was always inclined to writing, mostly my original stories, but of course I've dabbled in fanfiction. I used to write fanfictions for some anime series I liked as a teenager, but got rid of them because they were terrible. I had to do a Koga x Kagome oneshot (InuYasha) for my creative writing club and it turned out better than I expected, like the girl who requested it enjoyed it, so that was a success.
I also did some lighthearted Castlevania fanfics, mostly about Soma, Mina, Alucard, Julius...aka the Aria of/Dawn of Sorrow crowd. Idk why but I also did some about the House of the Dead.... My final fanfic was for Liberty's Kids. (Don't roast me; that show was my childhood.)

These days, my main focus is original poetry and fiction because that's what I enjoy the most. My characters are my babies. I wouldn't abandon them if my life depended on it.

I don't write and have not written any, but I did read avidly back when fanfiction dot net was huge.

Nowadays I'm too picky about what "style" of writing I want to read so I don't bother unless my friends highly recommend.

OH! And as a follow-up to my original post...I find it weird when people write fanfiction about real people. But out of sick curiosity I searched Shohei Ohtani on Wattpad and nearly burst out laughing when the writer had him sing "I'm Bringing Sexy Back" on a karaoke night. :ROFLMAO:

I feel the same way, I have an online friend who writes fanfiction about Ranboo. 😳 I dunno, it just feels weird because they're real people and all. Though I stumbled onto a fic on Wattpad called "YouTube dad scenarios", and I nearly choked when I saw Poofesure. 😭

I have never written a fanfic. About 7 years ago I had a friend who did, though. I liked to write my own stories when I was 3 to 13/14 years old. That was a long time ago, and I wish I would’ve kept some of my stories, but they’re all thrown away or deleted by now.

I wrote a short horror Pokemon fanfic several years ago for a contest and had a blast, but I wouldn't do it again. I'd rather write my own worlds rather than rely on someone else's.

I had written one and posted it on Fanfiction.net but ended up taking it down and the sequel I had started since someone pretty much yelled at me for no reason. It didn’t seem like constructive criticism. I know I shouldn’t have got discouraged but it was hard to get myself to share it or write it so that just made me feel terrible.

I still feel like trying again with something else though. I had ideas to try a FFX one and later a Fire Emblem Three Houses one. But I didn’t get further than the brainstorming stage. I’m not sure what I’d want to do right now. Atm, I’m considering trying to make an original story instead.

I write fanfics!!
Welp...I have A LOT of fics that are undergoing work, haven't started yet, etc.
My older fanfics, I've done for pokemon, dinosaure king, Horrid Henry, Maximum ride, Cardfight Vanguard (have a lot for this series at some point.)

The cardfight vanguard series, I am mainl focus on character, and giving them the spotlight in different stories, that I hope will be as indepth as I can muster.
Horrid Henry was kinda like that, but it was such a long time ago, and I wrote too much for chapters and i wanna start again with this specific story.

I even have some animal crossing stories I wanna write too~

it's honestly been a while since I've wrote anything I felt was good, but the more I do it, the better it will be; so here's hoping I can get some of the stories done this year~! :3

I do. Currently I’m working on a Family Guy crossover with Married With Children, one for King of the Hill involving The Bad Idea Bears from Avenue Q, one about the Batman the Animated Series character Mary Dahl/Baby Doll, and a sequel to Wish where Asha learns that granting every single wish she hears is a very very bad idea and the Star she befriended wasn’t quite as what she thought it was. The Wish fanfic is going to explain why what Asha ultimately did was wrong and that King Magnifico was right the entire time since there is now a zombie outbreak on top of a mad man forming an army to invade and take over neighboring kingdoms including Corona and Arendale and all of this chaos came from granting wishes without examining the true intentions or possible consequences.
