Anyone else hate trees?

I really feel like they’re in the way a lot more than past games lol, I like the look of the cedar trees though.

I go for a natural and simplistic look in my town theme. Without trees, the town looks barren. Trees, shrubs, flowers, and hedges add a lot of life to the town.

I like them. Im pretty particular about where i place them, plus im happy they you can keep them from growing to full-size so if i want one below a path i can just have it be smaller :)

I'm the opposite. I love trees and I want my town to be more rural like a forest. I cannot stand towns with little trees.

This method would help me a lot! Could you share the way to prevent them from fully growing, pretty please?!!

tbh i dont like the look of the regular trees. I dont hate it, but i much prefer cedar!!
I only really have regular trees for the fruit

I don’t like trees sometimes because they block the way, but without trees it’ll look boring so trees are still necessary.

Oh, yeah! You just have to plot a normal sapling next to it. I havent tried every method out because i only really do it one way, but it works for cedars normal and fruit trees. I put the sapling right behind it so its not as visible

I wish there was a way for them to disappear if you're trying to look at stuff behind them. I've had my fair share of times where fossils and other stuff were behind a tree and I couldn't see it because they were in the way x.x
Doesn't that happen with the trees nearest to you (the viewer) when you change the viewpoint with the right thumbstick, to look "skyward"? It does for me, I use it all the time because I have so many trees.

I like what they add to the scenery but I don’t like that we’re forced to maintain a certain number of them in town to get the five star rating because they take up a lot of space. I’d like them better if they didn’t have too many rules for growing, like if they can grow wherever like bushes, that’ll be better. If they can be next to each other and planted near buildings and cliffs, I’ll like them better.

I like them a lot but when you have a dense forest section, they become death traps for yourself.

Anyone who has a forest knows the consequence that you might unfortunately die by wasps. I've fainted before because I shook a tree instead of swinging my net.

There are tree haters, tree lovers and tree psychos.

It does, but sometimes when I want to take a photo or something or look behind a row of trees it only works for the tree closest to the screen.

*curses you in forest creature-speak* (no, not really, sending love regardless if you dislike trees or not). I'm making a forest town though, so I'm trying to find ways to work a lot of trees into my island without having all of the views blocked. It's kind of a hybrid forest/mountain town, so I've been placing most of my buildings and trees up against the edge of cliffs

Somewhere out there, a certain sloth isn't very happy.

I recently figured out a foolproof way of catching wasps that works very well in dense forests, so hopefully this can help! What you want to do is only shake the tree on its southern side. If a wasp nest falls, your character will turn to face the nest that is now beside you. All you have to do is immediately mash A, and you'll catch the wasp. No need to worry about running away and running into trees or not being able to see the wasps through the foliage, and I haven't accidentally shaken the tree twice while doing this.

i never want any regular trees (only cedar and fruit) but i always regret that during cherry blossom season........

I have a love/hate relationship with them. I basically separated my trees by only putting cedar and bamboo on the cliffs and keeping fruit on one side and regular non fruit bearing to another side to make it easier when doing my daily tree shaking rounds. My life would be easier if I had less trees though.

I'm not really a big fan of them blocking my view to items that are placed immediately behind the tree (e.g. if I'm laying turnips out, they might go behind a tree, which isn't easy for me to detect without going out of my way to check for it). I don't think that means I hate trees in general, though.
