Anyone else frustrated with the lack of sisterly/uchi villagers?

Diva is blue! A lot of people don’t particularly like her, though.


Canberra is my favorite uchi, though I do think her house interior is downgraded compared to New leaf.

I think the koala villagers are so underrated. Also Flo is kind of navy blue, maybe if she's put in blue clothes it could work?

Super agreed with this. There really needs to be more Uchi options. Cherry is basically always my go to option for an Uchi, but I should probably switch it up sooner or later.

I was super frustrated the other day when island hoping!
I couldn't find a sisterly villager in any of the 19 islands I visited!
So I have every type, 2 normal, 2 lazy and NOW 2 snooty because the game refuses to let me have a sisterly after I got rid of my first sisterly :c

Do you know you can just let the plot empty and the random villager buying it will be one of a missing personality on your island ? If you don't have any uchi you let an empty plot and the game will find one for you ahah

Yeah same. I only like a few: Shari, Reneigh, Fuschia, Pashmina. and Cherry.

There are plenty of uchis that I like and they have some of my favorite dialogue in NH even, but I still agree with you on this and it's part of why I'm baffled that there are only 8 new villagers in this game. When I found out that the 8 villagers we had seen revealed before release were the only new ones I was honestly really disappointed and I think that at the very least they should've added a few more smugs and uchis to compensate for the fact that they were just introduced in NL I hope we'll get more new villagers through updates or something but I'm not really expecting it.

Edit: If it helps at all, these are the uchis that I like--Phoebe (one of my fave villagers overall!), Plucky, Agnes, Diva (I know lol but she moved into my NL town at random once and grew on me), Flo, Frita, Muffy (wish the sheep didn't wear shirts in this game though ), Ursala, Shari, Mira (another one of my overall faves! I just wish her house wasn't so weird compared to NL), Reneigh, Pashmina, Katt, and Fuchsia! So yeah, I think that's actually the majority of them! A lot of people also like Cherry and Deirdre and I'm not really too into their designs but they're still cute. Hazel is also okay but I don't like her color scheme, and I know a lot of people dislike her unibrow.

Agreed. What's ridiculous is smug was also introduced in NL. Not only does smug have more villagers than uchi, but smug also seems to overall have better designs and more interesting villagers than uchi in general.

I don't mind that they didn't have many new villagers in NH, but I wish they'd actually put more uchi in. Reneigh alone is not enough.

Phoebe (streetwise Phoenix), Hazel (genki squirrel girl), Canberra (if Peppermint Patty was a koala), Katt (she's seen some ish), and yes, Diva (basically Rizzo from Grease): these are all great Uchis, imo. Their designs are unique and interesting and complement the personality type. I know they're not popular but that just mean a lot of people must have lousy/boring taste.

I agree! I didn't like many of the sisterly villagers. Although getting Agnes, who I didn't like nor dislike, as one of my starters I fell in love with her, she likes rock music and I definitely see that come out in her dialogue? (I don't know if they all do? She's the only sisterly I've had ((or really had the want to talk to)) all the years of playing)

Edit: also starting to kinda like the silliness of Ursala actually. She's kinda sweet.

@ceribells I have this problem with normal villagers. I have to stop myself from having an island of all normal villagers because then I'd just be living with a book club.

Oh god me too. I have a hard time letting them go. I think I had 4 in NL at one point. Currently just Vesta (I had her on GCN!) and Mitzi, who just moved in today. Vesta asked to move recently and my heart almost stopped.
But I like how the uchis balance my geeky normal ladies and lazy boys (who I also collect en masse).

Along with smug, we need more sisterly villagers. They have the smallest numbers of villagers in those personalities. The rest of the personalities have twice as much villagers.
I do like quite a bit of the sisterly villagers though. Deirdre(adorable forestry type), Reneigh(her piercings!)Hazel(lil cutie), and Katt (love how tough she looks)are my favorites. but I think Agnus, Muffy, Cherry, Fushia, and Phobie are great too.

My favorite uchi of all is Rocket

She was my first uchi in NL. At first when I saw her name on the plot I was a bit disappointed but when she finally asked to move out I said no and I never let her go since I also TT one day back last month because I felt bad missing her birthday.

I actually think she is my best friend in NL because she is the one who gave me her picture the most

I never had another uchi in NL.

In NH my first uchi was Mira. I don't really like her look so I don't plan to keep her, and I couldn't help but invit Rocket from another island

Maybe I should try other uchis, and maybe I'll rotate a plot to know some other villagers, but for me Rocket is the perfect uchi

Unless a voided villager takes it. When Colton, my only smug moved out, I got Axel, a jock. I already had two jocks at the time, and Axel talks about his old island sometimes.

There are a handful I like, but I agree that their designs are weirdly clashing. I don’t tend to prefer the cutesy villagers (I like Jocks a lot, despite how many people dislike them) but the Uchis just look abrasive a lot of the time. Honestly, it kind of feels like the developers were afraid their personality, which isn’t just “nice” or “shopping,” wouldn’t be overtly feminine enough for their gender to be identifiable within 2.5 seconds, so they make sure they’re all NEON PINK or have lipstick and eyeshadow and it makes them look so much less natural than the other villager types.

It's not frustrated, more like mildly infuriating. (No, do not bring up that reddit thing)

But what i'm frustrated about more is the fact that I only like a few cranky villagers. And all of them aren't really that interesting to keep around.

Now if Flash returns and doesn't have his personality change to Smug, i'll have my very own Cranky villager i'd like a lot!

I agree, I like a few uchis like Phoebe, Plucky, Flo and even to some extent Katt, but design wise I have to force myself to have one of them as other personalities have much more appealing designs I'd prefer to see on my island.

It is a shame cause I like their personality, they're the only female villagers I can relate to, but I'd prefer to have an extra lazy it cranky cause I like their designs more

My favorite Uchi is Katt.
Her and I were besties in NL so I can't wait to bring her back via amiibo.
I currently have Hazel who I really like too - I know that both Katt and Hazel are often referred to as 'ugly' but I think they fit the personality perfectly.

The other Uchis I really like are Shari and Agnes.
I think Rocket is quite nice too because I've got a soft spot for the gorilla villagers.
