anyone else find the Uchi personality so rude?

I really like Uchis. Pashmina moved into my current town early on and, once she finally opened up to me, she became one of the nicest villagers I've ever had.

I've found most jocks and some smugs (QUILLSON) to be much worse than the average Uchi. I will agree that most of them got screwed over in terms of character design though, with Fuchsia immediately coming to mind as a prime example.

they're more tsundere if anything

i personally cant stand uchi villagers. i hate girls in general bc of the way most of them treat people or talk, so uchis just remind me of them. they're not always rude to me though--but there was this one time a uchi complimented my hair bow wig then criticized me for wearing it all the time or something like that. i know its just a game, but i was ticked off haha
that villager isnt in my town anymore

you hate girls in general............are you in middle school

the more stories I hear about uchis the more I realise I actually AM an uchi, oh man (what does that say about my character design in the eyes of most people--good job I don't care, trololol)

I dunno, I like Fuchsia's design! And Pashmina is great <3 She was one of my bro's first villagers. If I didn't have two uchis already I'd love to have her in Baker.

Phoebe is best because phoenix, though. Uchi is therefore perfect on her: she wears her passion on her sleeve and is a li'l fiery!

I feel like no uchi is the same though, along with the other personalities. Every villager has an itty bitty difference to them regarding their personality. For example, I once had Tammy and she was a total sweetheart, I remember she called me an angel because I think I said I loved her room or something? Now, currently in my town my uchi is Deirdre, and she isn't very sweet and nice like that at all. She has much more of a sass to her and um..the 'b' word to her

So in my opinion, they are all a tad bit different from each other

I love the uchi personality. Honestly of all the villager types the uchis are the ones with the most qualities I'd look for in a real friend. I like their honesty.

I agree, i really dont like them much. I play animal crossing to have fun and be happy, not to be put down by them.

I keep trying to be friends with Canberra but... I just cant.

I've tried to do the whole 'have every personality' thing but I just can't with uchi. First off, none of their designs are to my liking. I had Fuchsia in my cycling town recently, and her design actually grew on me a little, but for all the others, I either liked their design and then had the villager and then realized I really didn't like it, or I've just never liked the design ever. Next, their personality is just unpleasant and off-putting to me. They just remind me of people that are typically found in the south, and I really hate the whole "southern hospitality" personality trait thing people do here. Idk I think it's just because I'm more like a Snooty villager, so I tend to get along with them better and agree with pretty much anything they do.

Overall, none of the Uchi's are really pleasing to look at, so that could be why I don't like them as much. 'Cause there are even some Snooty's that I'm just like, "Gurl, what are you dOING?" So even though their personality is my fave, their appearance is just poopy, so I probably wouldn't like them in the end.

Also, I typically have themes I try to go with for my villagers, and the Uchi's never really fit any of them. :/

I really dislike the uchi villagers, they will give you medicine almost every time you're stung by a bee, but that's their only redeeming quality. I find most of them to be terribly ugly and creepy looking too. I had Paula, got a windmill and a wisteria trellis from her and sent her on her way.

I think you are taking the uchi dialogue a bit too personally...just remember that it's just a video game, it's just a personality, and they weren't actually put into the game to insult YOU. I actually really like the uchi's. I think they have one of the more complex (if I can use that word for animal crossing) personalities. They also request some of my favorite public work projects.
