anyone else can’t be bothered to help gulliver?

I like getting Gulliver. I like talking to Gulliver. I even don't mind his long-winded dialogue. I love the furniture he gives you. I love the clothing he gives you. But, his fetch quest annoys me. I wish they would rotate it with the quizzes he had in New Leaf. They were fun, short, and educational. There is nothing educational about digging up rusted parts when you don't feel like it. The first few times were fun, but now it feels like a bother and not as special as it was in New Leaf.
I still help him though when he shows up. I think the last time I had him was last week. So it just feels like a long time since I had him last, but it isn't really.

I've only helped him once, ever. I always leave him sprawled out on my beach because I don't like talking to him... and even less doing his bidding. The rewards aren't even enough incentive for me to help him. So yeah, he stays permanently passed out.

What do rusted parts do?
You need rusted parts to make toy hero.
I always help him, I haven't gotten all his items yet because I have been saving the rusted parts. Maybe once I get all the furniture items and have a good stash of rusted parts I will ignore him, but I doubt that will happen any time soon.

I do it every time he comes, just cause I want his stuff but otherwise, I wish his interactions were a bit more varied. I didn't play NL but my sister did and his quizzes were really fun.

I like Gulliver & I want to help him, but the communication parts fetching quest can sometimes be downright punishing. I don't want the rusted parts, either. So his visits are 100% up in the air as to whether I'm actually going to bother with it lol.
I don’t like the repetitive dialogue, but I don’t mind doing his tasks since it doesn’t take me too long. For some reason he disgusts me though LMAO! I imagine him as a drunk that’s past out after a binge because his story of repeatedly falling overboard makes no sense to me. So I see him and I’m immediately thinking “uggghh it you again”.
