I haven't seen him in over a month as far as I can recall. I frequently visit the beach since all my villager's houses are there so it's not like I missed him. where the hell he at

I want his items, but talking to him is so tedious. I don’t like how the npc’s always have to repeat their entire schtick for the millionth time when we already know who they are and why they’re there! And Gulliver’s thing is especially long.

I always help him but I get very irritated at the repeated dialog from him, the whole phone breaking thing was only funny the first time and runs on far too long. Now though, waking him up with a net is fun

I find the rewards quite a let down too, he sent me that little Dala Horse last time and I was completely underwhelmed.....

The prizes from the ghost (forget his name!) are quite boring also.

This is my problem too. I think last time I checked the nook mile achievement, he'd been to my island 5 or 6 times, and I've been playing since a few days after launch in March. I always check my beaches for him

Meanwhile my housemate has Gulliver popping up on his island all the time.

Honestly his task is boring but not too difficult. NL rewards were better. I help him because I need rusted parts and helping him 30 times to get the golden shovel diy. Still he is better than Wisp. Wisp is awful. Truly not worth all the effort I go through

I'll be honest, when I first started I couldn't be bothered helping him after the first couple of times because he seemed to pop up on my beach so often! And I was still having to get the bus to work every day so I didn't have much time to play.
But now I'm working from home so I can help Gulliver in between helping my customers

it's pretty tedious in acnh, you have to press through his dialogue to wake him up, scavenge the beaches 10 times to find the missing parts, maybe have your tools break, click through his repetitive dialogue again, only to get a rock that happened to come from australia.

i'm overreacting but i liked him in new leaf more (and in acww and accf more than that) xD

Not really, if I see him I always find the parts for his phone. I'm also trying to get the different items from him so that might be part of why I always help him out.
