Anyone else a bit scared to play online?

I think the answer to this situation or any situation where you feel apprehensive or anxious is research, research, research!!!
TBTs are the currency we use on this forum (The Bell Tree Forums) exclusively! You can transfer your TBTs by clicking on the persons "Bells" in the sidebar under their username and transfering money that way. People are generally quite friendly and understanding so don't worry about it. If you have questions you can always ask the trader/seller directly or on this forum or any questions and answers thread. Don't worry about playing online, especially if the person has a high rating. It's very similar to New Leaf!!

I'm not shy when it comes to tradings on these forums because everyone is so nice! When I get anxious is on discord; I've heard many horror stories of people getting scammed and it scares me, but I just have to remind myself that ,most people are just like me and are trying to enjoy the game with other players Don't be nervous, everything will come to you soon enough!

I prefer trading only here. It has a nice feedback system and all the players are nice. I wouldn't trade with players outside of this forum except for my real life friends.

It's honestly really easy, everyone's really friendly and i've traded both items and villagers. I did get scammed once cause of Raymond but that was only the bad experience I got, everything else was very pleasant c:

Personally, I like it! I actually just made two trips to completely random islands to sell my turnips yesterday and the second island (a gurl in Australia!) was super nice and me and two other people were helping her organize turnip selling. After that was all done, we made a group on Discord to talk and plan playing together more.

it’s nice when you can make new friends like that. Of course, I also play with my regular friends. I like to have them over while we talk on Discord and show them changes I’ve made or just do silly things together.

Today I made my first trip to an open island through the airport! It was fun and I got some great furniture and recipes. Definitely a good way to dip your toe if you've never tried online play before.

okay so i have like top tier social anxiety and used to be really afraid of trading with people (i still am tbh)
but after learning it's a really quick "hi. here's your item. bye." type of thing, it's not so bad xD

the first time i hosted my island for turnip selling (on turnip exchange), i was really surprised how many people just...didnt say anything. or only used emotes. not that they had to talk to me, i was just surprised. i expected it to be more complicated than that xD

a lot of people here are really nice, so that really helps~ glad you had fun with your first online trip \o/
