yes, i use all the rooms for storing my junks. whats the point of haing it set up as exhibit though? i mean, no one is gonna be interested in your exhibits if you do have one or more.

I've always used all my museum exhibits as storage, but this time around I'd like to have various shops in the upstairs of my museum.

I'm a terrible hoarder in this game and use all of the exhibit rooms as storage. I'd like to maybe use them as actual exhibit rooms at some point, but yeah, for now they're just crammed with expensive and/or unorderable furniture sets.
