Anybody else paranoid ?

Anyone else too paranoid to let anyone else visit their town to wander at their leisure ? If anyone come to my town to conclude deals I don't like them wandering away from my train station as I've got terrible paranoia that whoever visits my town are gonna steal all my Hybrids and stuff ! Is it just me ? And should I be more trusting with people ! I just hate the thought of putting loads of hard work into my town and then a new player coming along and nicking all my stuff !

I'm going to have to get over it if I ever want to get the train station upgrade !

same! that's why I follow my visitors wherever they go in my town lol (though most of the time, I don't let them wander around..) and I only trade with people who have 100% wifi ratings. since I have lots of rare stuff/unorderables/DLCs on the ground and lots of hybrids too!! I've been more paranoid since I was nearly scammed twice.. good thing flicking off the wifi switch fixes this problem eheh

Yeah I hardly ever let people come to mine lol, and if they do I walk 1 step behind them at all times, stalking and watching their every move. After they leave I run straight towards my gold roses and jacob's ladders just to make sure nobody pinched one then breathe a sigh of relief. I rarely let people past the train station entrance.

This one guy came to my town and was just walking about everywhere and picked up a mushroom and was like "hey, watch this" and ate it to make his character grow for a few seconds and I was like "oh wow, yeah..." but inside I was dying, I had OCD'ly placed those mushrooms around town perfectly.

I only watch people I don't know. If I've had a good experience with a person, I'll trust them to be respectful and let them roam. I hate having to babysit.

I'm exactly the same, especially in my main town which has many hybrids and wrapped gifts on the ground. my hand is never far from the wifi switch. If I know a person well however and I know they are trustworthy then I do let them wonder as they like, I have a friend who's town is highly decorated like mine and we trust each other so don't watch each other.

I just do trades and that's it. I've never gotten scammed and I've only had nice experiences with people but I just don't bother letting people roam. Most people I trade with just want to trade and leave anyways. I just don't want to bother and be stressed the whole time they're over. It's just not fun for me.

I don't really have anything valuable around my town except a few flowers, so I just sit there and let people go around. But I don't get many visitors anyway, and these days none because I don't play AC that much and I've completed furniture sets and etc.

Me too. If I have a good rapport with someone via the forums, I'm usually trusting of them when they're in my town. FYI badcrumbs is a trust-worthy person

I only trust a few people who have proven themselves. They take good care of their own towns, they're polite, and they've behaved well in my town (meaning they don't run, take things, or harm my town in any way). I do follow new people. I feel like a jerk doing it, but I feel it's necessary in order to protect myself. If a person can be trusted, then I'll add them to my best friends list. Those people are allowed to roam around alone.

That is incredibly rude! I would have flipped the switch and removed his friend code. There's no excuse to pick up anything unless you've been given permission.

You're not alone. I have certain people who I trust and have never stolen in all 6 months I have been friends with them.

Precisely why I just bought a second game! I love having people visit but am very worried in case they ruin my town (although I have only had good experiences up to now )... My second town will be for TT-ing and stuff, and I plan to have it as a much more open town and have lots of people visit!

Well, I don't have much, currently.
So, I'm not too worried about it.
I've only had one visitor in my new town, though it is only four days old...
I only had about one or two in my old town.
Two of them were for fruit, and one was to get a villager.
The only other time I let people over was when I had a cycling town for a little bit.
It's not that I'm very paranoid. It's more so that I'm not good at typing on the 3ds, and people want to talk, lol...
It stresses me out.
I do, however, pick up my hybrids beforehand, anyway, and I never have important items just lying about, either.

Unless I'm friends with the people coming into my town, I get anxious allowing anybody to roam around. I've been stolen from before and it really doesn't feel good. If someone needs signatures I allow them to roam and hope for the best, but usually I limit people to my train station(which is fenced in with trees, haha!).

Hmm, I don't really worry when I have people over. With trades, I'd consider it bad manners if anyone decided to go for a wander without asking, so if someone just took off then I'd probably flick the switch. But if they asked to look around, then I'd show them about myself. When socializing, I usually only hang out with people I've known for a bit, or those who have a good wifi rating. I really hate shadowing people and checking up on them, so I trust my visitors and I've never had any problems luckily! I've met some fab people on TBT, and I consider it a pretty safe forum to meet decent players ^^

I'm pretty lax when inviting people over with good records, but then again, I don't really have much to steal outside aside from a few hybrids and maybe some perfect oranges. I'll usually check my hybrids every now and then with new visitors in town, and then one final check when everyone's gone to make sure nothing's missing. If I invite someone who doesn't have a record of any kind, then I'll keep a closer eye on them while they're over.

Im afraid that theyre gonna run on my flowers but other then that, once I get rid of the stuff I have no space for, Im good
