Any furniture items that villagers can actually use?

I was wondering because I feel like I've heard about it but I've never seen any of the villagers on my island use anything besides there own fishing poles and stuff like that

If you give a villager an umbrella, they might use it.

I've heard that villagers use tools that you give them though they also display it in their house (e.g. elephant watering can)

I've really only ever had luck with clothing and items they can display at their house! I've given tools and they never seem to use them! I gave Katt a golden watering can by accident and never saw it ever again! Oh well!

I gave Sherb a blue elephant watering can that he uses. But, I had to make sure that he didn't display it in his house by gifting him something that fit in the spot he was displaying it before he actually used it.

As mentioned above, they will use watering cans, nets, and fishing rods, but they do display them in their house too.

They interact with all the music stuff. They can play all the instruments, sing by the microphones, and just kind of dance and smile next to the music players.

Most items can prompt some kind of interaction, though it's usually very basic. For example, they can bounce a ball, but it just lasts for a second and they smile and move on.

if you give em a fancy net they will use it but it being display in their house can be an eye sore.

They will use the peach surprise boxes They walk up to them, open it, make a ‘surprised’ face and then usually laugh or smile and then close it and move on.

They also ‘use’ the vending machine, though unfortunately nothing comes out.

Even though I see them fishing and using the net, I appear to be the only one that actually waters the flowers....maybe I'm expecting too much from them

Yes, they will water flowers using what looks like a standard watering can without you giving them anything (but they water one flower at a time). How much/whether they do so depends on their ‘hobby’. Villagers with the nature hobby will do the most watering. And the flowers they water do show up as watered (meaning they sparkle). Flurry, Fauna, and Ruby water all the time! But I’ve seen the others do it too.

They can also use the Candy Machine, though no candy comes out and they don't appear to have a reaction. The little knob turns though.

I've seen my villagers "use" the espresso machine I have near my airport. They turn it on then smell the espresso
