AVAST screwed up while updating. Once again, any virus programs for Ubuntu that I don't have to use Wine?

panda antivirus or something like that?
apparently linux doesn't need antivirus as much as windows. who knew?
I've used that before. It kept popping up with a red flag even though 3 of my other virus programs on Windows said I was clean.
I didn't know Linux didn't need antivirus as much as Windows. I think I'm pretty fine with my firewall on my Desktop. If I have any problems I'll just reinstall.
gotcha, didn't know you'd used it before.
i would read more into it before i trusted that, but i think that it has something to do with the whole root user thing or something, i dunno.
that, and the whole deal that comes with not being in the majority of OS', hackers/viruses aren't targeting it as much, i would assume.
again, the more you know.
