Five nights at Freddy's is a good game series but it's annoying and cringy fandom ruined it! I'm ok with the memes but those songs and animations gets on my nerves..

Roblox. Again an annoying game with an annoying fandom. Tbh I don't even think it's a game, whenever I hear Roblox, I hear memes. Lol

What do y'all think?

The Fortnite community is one of the most cancerous things I've ever seen.

Also the Roblox and Minecraft communities seem to be mostly children, or adults that act like children, so I'm not a fan of them either.

The Roblox fandom's weird side traumatized me for weeks. (Like those explicit "gangsta" things with skins that look like Nicki Minaj or something) doing music videos. L M A O. I'm glad my sister never found that. She plays Roblox a lot.

Game-wise I say, League and Fortnite I guess. LOL.

Let's see... Fortnite, FNaF, Undertale, Cuphead, Badi's Basics, Bendy, and Sonic. All of them but Fortnite are full of fangirls of ONE SPECIFIC CHARACTER, and don't get me started on the Sans fangirl animations. But Cuphead, Bendy, and Baldi's are just as ruined by the adults who try to make "kid-friendly" videos regarding the games.. I'm not saying that kids can't enjoy these games, but I don't really like watching middle-aged men dumb down a game I enjoy.
But all of these fandoms have been ruined by Tumblr and Deviantart. There's way too many Undertale AUs, some being absolutely stupid, and Tumblr seems to think that Cuphead has to be an edgy, modern teenage boy rather than a throwback to 1930s cartoons.
On the Sonic side, I'm starting to get sick of everyone bashing on the games. Not every game can be Sonic Mania. I know that the new games aren't as good as they could be, but as a casual fan I like to play the games and don't want to listen to grown men scream about a fictional hedgehog. Sammyclassicsonicfan is a huge meme and all, but most of the Sonic game reviewers act exactly like him.

I have to say smash: melee elitists, waluigi fans (who harass sakurai) and overral people complaining about the characters

I don't give any fandoms my attention. I just enjoy the games for what they are.

I'll preface this by saying every fanbase has its bad eggs...But there are definitely fanbases that seem to attract far more vile people than others.

I would say Undertale and FNaF but honestly, since nobody really gives a crap about those games these days and they're no long everywhere you look, I haven't noticed anything from their fandoms that particularly grinds my gears. They were basically the "awful fanbase of the month" until everybody moved on to the new cool thing, presumably Fortnite.

The Sonic fandom is one that continues to make me cringe though. Some utterly weird and disgusting stuff comes out of that cesspool. I like the Sonic series, but I do my absolute best to avoid the community for it. I feel that more of the Sonic games would have sucked less if the fanbase didn't just blindly accept every game with unconditional love and abuse those that said otherwise.

Even worse, the Nintendo fanboys continue to be, as far as I'm concerned, one of the most vile and cancerous fanbases out there. I've come across pieces of trash from every platform preference over the years, but the Nintendo's fanbase never ceases to surprise me. Obviously as a Nintendo fan myself (on a forum based around a Nintendo game), I know it's not everybody, but wow...Nintendo fans are some of the biggest bunch of hypocritical, close minded and abusive "gamers" I can say I've ever had the displeasure of communicating with.

This goes along with what I've said. Anybody who even thought about harassing Sakurai over friggin' Waluigi not being a playable character is utter scum.

I always thought Waluigi in Smash was a meme, to be honest. I'm not a Smash fan myself due to never being allowed to play "overly violent" video games, and I will admit I was pretty upset when they added Daisy in Smash and don't understand why they added the Inklings (children in a fighting game just seems wrong to me), but I have other characters that are way more important to me than Waluigi. Like, I really want King K. Rool in Smash. I want characters that aren't huge memes. Sakurai doesn't deserve the hate, I do agree. I always thought Waluigi was a character that people liked ironically, but I guess not.

Same here. I don’t really connect with any fandoms. I just play the games that I enjoy playing and put down the ones I don’t enjoy playing. Whether the fandom has any impact on that anymore isn’t really a factor to me.

I will say I love watching good Youtubers talk about how messed up some of these fandoms are, lol. There are good Youtubers that do it and are funny about it.

I agree with you. Personally I would die to see my fav purple boi in Smash 5, but I'm not gonna go as far as to harass Sakurai because of it. That's just rude.

I guess maybe in an ironic way I like him, but Wario has been one of my favorite characters since I started getting to videogaming in general, so I wouldn't necessarily say I like Waluigi ironically.

Sad to see that it's a meme. I was actually, sincerely hoping he would get in.

Annoying fandoms?
I don't really play that much adventure/action/violence games that often (im stuck in a corner playing animal crossing) so I wouldn't know all the cringe fandoms that people make.

Except the Undertale one...

The Undertale fandom almost ruined skeletons for me.

Breath of the Wild, Fortnite, Minecraft, Call of Duty, Undertale, Overwatch and a lot of other games too I just can't put a huge list of the games.

Fire Emblem Heroes. Like idk if any of you guys hangs out on reddit or gamefaqs.

Yeah no idc about your ****ing waifu boobs.

Most games I tend to play are online, so I'd have to say Toontown and Wizard101. I feel like both fandoms are full of rude and disrespectful people who think they're better than everyone else. Not everyone is like that, but I have encountered many people who tend to act that way.

every fanbase has its bad eggs...

I agree with this. No matter where you go, there’s always a bad guy, including fandoms. But the fandoms I hate most are typically the larger ones, especially if centered on more competitive games, RPGs, and first person shooters.

For the longest time, I would say Call of Duty fans. But I’m also starting to think the Pokemon fans, especially the ones on the Pokemon boards on GameFAQs. Even some of the users on there thought the GameFAQs Pokemon fans are the worst Pokemon fanbase. I also hate genwunners, anti-hackers, and pessimists over the newer games.

Sonic. Hoo boy, I was warned never to Google fan art of that fandom. I didn’t listen. Fortnite and Cuphead are up there, too. And yes, even Undertale (that’s the only fandom I’m part of and even I admit it’s pretty cancerous).

The Nintendo Switch has unfortunately brought an infestation of greedy and obnoxious people into the Nintendo fanbase, although it probably was always like this.

Then comes many fandoms such as Undertale, Smash, Sonic, Call of Duty, Five Night At Freddy's, and of course, Fortnite.

There will always unfortunately be certain people who just can't grasp the basics of respect and behavior. Every fandom and fanbase is just horrible in certain ways.
