Animal Crossing leaking into real life

Dude, I do that ALL THE TIME with wanting to recreate things in Sims. There've been time I've REALLY wanted to photograph someone's house to use for reference... but I don't think it'd go over well 😅 I've also seen people with really distinctive appearances (faces, hairstyles, makeup, etc.) that I've wanted to try to recreate but, uh, same thing... I feel like taking a photo there would be even weirder 😂
Yeah, you'd probably have someone report you for suspicious activity if you were taking snapshots of peoples homes. Sort of off topic, but I used to play hide and seek in the dark with some friends, and we couldn't leave the street we were on. I hid behind someone's vehicle and people came out of the house and began shouting at me. I told them I was playing hide and seek, but I don't know if they believed me or not. I'm too lazy to build my own house in The Sims. I would be a bad home builder in real life, too.

I tend to use Quillson's catch phrase a lot. Ridukulous, I know!

I also name off how much bugs are worth when I see them IRL. Sometimes, my DD and I see glowing money tree spots (bright rays of light on the grass in our backyard). When my husband and daughter caught fireflies a couple of weeks ago, he held his catches out and did the little woo-hoo thing.

Not AC, but in reference to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, my DD and I point out places in nature where korok seeds could be hiding.

I have to say I’ve started to pick more villager emotions in real life. The silent laughter I personally think is hilarious not sure about the rest of my family!

With animal crossing I do the same as said above, for a spilt second I see a bug and I'm like "OOH" oh, wait.. 😂
I did a similar thing when I binged Stardew Valley for the first time, it was literally all I was doing. Pam has a mini quest where she requests a pale ale, and I was in the supermarket down the alcohol isle and saw one, pointed it out to my boyfriend, and then came to the realisation that I probably should take a break from playing after seeing the reaction on his face, when he realised why I was excited to have found one 😳

So far not with animal crossing. I do have these moments once in a great while, though. One time I was writing something on paper and made a mistake and my mind went "just click undo". It took me a moment to figure out I can't do that... lol.

One time I saw a tarantula outside irl and my brain immediately went- money.

Not real life, but in ACNH I sometimes get the urge to "fly" to my house or "ride my bike" to get somewhere quickly because of Pokemon.
I'm sorry what 😳 if I saw a tarantula just out and about irl I would most definitely scream and run the other way

hahaha they are not usually as scary as the ones in the game are, or at least not the ones where I live! either way, thank god they dont chase you around like in the game...

A butterfly flew by and one of my little sisters pointed it out. "Oh, that's a tiger butterfly," I said without even thinking.

I keep saying the actual names of the bugs and fish in the game when I see them and I keep imagining about the drag and drop room editor in the game.

might not exactly count but i now know a bunch of insects and fish because of animal crossing. like if i’d never played? i would likely have no clue what a barreleye is LMAO

My towel is obviously part of the cute series.

Not necessarily. Though I will sometimes space out and envy the world of Animal Crossing and it's lackadaisical, charming nature. 😄

not necessarily AC but I have been known to use "gold" in place of dollars.
and sometimes i walk into the bathroom instead of the kitchen and i think "wait, wrong map"

Sometimes I'll see a bug, and my mind will be like "Oh...I know that bug from Animal Crossing".

That's about it. Lol.
