Animal Crossing Community

I joined ACC in 2006 and not much has changed.. It's so outdated and strict. It didn't really interest me so I left soon after I joined.

I'm still there, but I don't visit it much anymore. It's good for basic info, but the trading is way more active over here.

I came here from Animal Crossing Ahead (AXA). Unfortunately AXA became completely dead and is now shut down for good probably.

EDIT: I do like this place a lot better, though :)

I don't really like the site TBH...

They over-react to every little thing that you do and assume that you're doing something shady even when you're not.
Like one time, I was working for HH and because I missed quota because my brother (who has Type 1 Diabetes) was in the hospital due to concussion, and they fired me.

Over here its more layed back and I like it that way.

I used to go on there before I found this forum and to me it just looked really old. I think I only went on there to sell turnips and I hated even doing that because it was so hard to navigate the site. I haven't been on there in like a year or two so I don't know what it looks like now but I just remember it being really annoying and I agree that it's outdated

Never heard of it. I love btb because it has a very...calm atmosphere. Most other sites have a lot of younger kids who jump down your throat for controversial/offensive issues. And I understand, some things are touchy. However, I feel like the younger generation has this obsession with being offending by everything, and so I try to stay in places with a more...adult atmosphere. There ARE a lot of kids on here, but they aren't as....extreme as on other sites. Also, I've made some very neat friends on here.

When I first began trading and playing online, I used GameFAQs. Soon after, I realized it allowed cheating and duping, and in my first trade someone gave me a weird corrupted item. Then I looked for a new forum/market, seen ACC first, and noticed how it was super inactive, and how literally no one posts actively (and I was looking for an active forum that didn't promote cheating/glitching/weird corrupted items like GameFAQs does). Not to mention the background and design of ACC burned my eyes. Later, I seen a thread on here describing the corrupted item I received, and I explored TBT, and noticed how super active it was. I stalked for a few days, and finally joined.

It's been over a year, and I'm happy I joined this instead of ACC. It's way more fun, active, friendlier people, and has a pretty fair economy.

I used to browse ACC all the time way back when. I used to get banned a lot for stupid things. I ended up leaving though it would be nice to visit again just to see how things are, for nostolgia.

I joined that site in like 2008. Used it for a long time, and I always knew about the belltree, but never joined it until New Leaf came out. I still go on it from time to time but the atmosphere is a lot different.

I used to go on ACC all the time, but I left and haven't gone on in probably close to a year. It was fun at first, but it was practically dead. You could post a thread, and maybe get three replies by the end of the week. And the rules are really strict. I once got in trouble for saying that a funny thread was funny, because apprently that's spam. I like here much more

I had a similar experience. I was working for a giveaway, and I needed to go to a supply town to pick up my order. My wifi was lagging that day, and the supply lady (who was like 40 years old) just lost her mind and started screaming at me. I was like 12 years old so I was freaking out. And no one said anything to her about that, but they all got onto me saying I was being irrisponsible. Like wtf? I'm not the adult who is screaming at a child for something they can't even control.

the site looks really outdated and ugly, hopefully big changes will show upon the release of the next installment of animal crossing, though I don't care much to be honest.

Hasn't changed much since 2008. Its been about 6 years since they announced the Bell Shop and I still don't even think they have it. Development is slow, the site looks outdated, but they've got one of the most active communities. The administration always perplexed me. The smallest things got you banned or written up and arguably its very ridiculous. I was banned because I was a "hazard" because I just "had too many offenses." Not because of an offense directly, but because they were worried I'd "strike again." It was mostly little swears and flaming. I'm such a criminal, aren't I?

I've got a thousand different stories to share if anyone's interested. Especially the Apocalypse of April 2010/2011, can't remember which one it was.

If I never went on ACC, I would've still had my Wild World town.
Place was teeming with hackers/brickers/seeders.

I remember in about 2008 there was a member named PrinceOfEngland. Notorious for seeding other players and destroying their games. Fortunately I was warned about him the moment he setup a time to meet with me. He took out quite a few people, targeted mostly new members in such a short amount of time.

Ah the good ol' days.

About six months ago I joined ACC hoping to find friends, since I don't have any real-life friends who play Animal Crossing. I never ended up talking to anyone though. I'm really glad I discovered TBT last December, because I've found it a lot easier to talk to people on here, plus people are more active on here and ACC is kind of outdated.

The first Community site i use is acnl friend exchange weebly . com but the site is not as active so i came here on bell tree form ;)

Wow, I was just thinking today about posting a thread asking what happened to ACC. I joined ACC years and years ago, when it was really active, but yes a lot of the community was full of griefers/seeders.. I worked for a delivery giveaway for ACCF, it was fun for me for awhile but then the community went stale for me, the people whom I added were never really active in-game, and most people were just active in the giveaway stores etc.. which kind of ruined my game for me, having everything at your finger tips, swimming in bells made the game not interesting to play anymore.

Then when I recently got back in to playing New Leaf, I had no active friends so I searched google, expecting to find ACC at the top of the list, like it had been years ago.. Well, I could not find ACC anywhere but instead found TBT.. What a different community here! At first I feared this might be a dead community, but it's perfect for me! So glad I found it.

(but I am a little offended at the people complaining about "old" people being on ACC... I'm almost 30, and have played with some way older folks that I met right here on TBT..I'll probably still play an AC game when I'm 40.. There is nothing wrong with being "old")
