Q1. Has anyone here experienced their life being uprooted?
Google definition: "Uprooted" in the context of life refers to being forced to leave a familiar place, environment, or way of life, often due to circumstances beyond one's control, and the subsequent challenges of starting anew.
I think it was the founder of Animal Crossing that kind of went through that and it inspired the Animal Crossing franchise if I remember right?
Life Uprootment isn't always negative as in an unfortunate circumstance (safety, disaster, fire ect) being the cause. Sometimes it is because of a job, family member needing you, or if you are a minor and your parents deciding to move far. Or maybe just needing a new start for mental health reasons.
I don't know how often this happens when people move far away, or relocate far, but I do know some people don't take much of their things with them at all to make the process easier and cheaper. So, not only are they relocated, around a lot of unfamiliar faces, maybe even the culture is different, routines being changed, maybe they get lost on their way to the store, but they don't have their familiar things in their new living space. Maybe it takes time for the new place to even feel like home (stuck with a lawn chair situation). Kind of similar to the begining of an animal crossing playthrough, honestly..
Q2. Do you view animal crossing a little more differently if Uprootment happened after you experienced animal crossing?
Q3. Other related thoughts about life Uprootment?
Q4. Other thoughts about life Uprootment and video games?
