I'm really confused.
I have two sanrio villagers in my main town, Etoile and Chai. All the others are starting villagers and random move-ins.
From what I read I was sure that scanned villagers don't ping to move unless you have 5 or 6 amiibo villagers. However, this morning one of the two, Chai, pinged to move. Can someone explain?
I don't mind but I don't understand why this happened.
Yesterday and some days ago two of my starting villagers asked to move and and I told them both to stay. Could it be possible that because I told most of the others to stay in the last days/weeks now the amiibo villagers ask eventually?
Or are the sanrio guys different than other amiibos? Or did I just misunderstand the whole thing?

I'm not sure (sorry!), I've never had Sanrio villagers. But then again, I have 7 amiibo villagers and none of them have asked to move out (it's been several in-game months). So maybe those rules are more myth than fact?

The confusion may have arisen because a very vocal minority has created this narrative that amiibo villagers don't ping to move out. I have a mix of natural and amiibo villagers and both ping to leave. I've even had an amiibo villager ping to leave within a week.

Nevertheless, this idea that amiibo villagers don't ping to leave has spread and is often taken as fact even though plenty of us have a different experience in our towns.

It's very rare for a mostly non amiibo town for an amiibo to ping to move.

It took SIX months for one of my amiibo's to ping. At that time, I had 4 normal, and 6 amiibo's.

If you have 9 amiibo's and one regular, the regular will ping every second time.

It's not a 'minority' that 'thinks' this. It's a heck of a lot of people that know this from experience.

What I eventually did, after learning to plot reset, was move EVERYBODY out, and amiibo'd in ten villagers where I wanted them.

Now it's an all amiibo town, they all ping randomly.

If I let one go, and a regular moved in, the amiibo's would ping every second (moving day) time.

From the beginning of my town I've always had amiibo villagers and I don't remember one of them asking to leave the town so I'm very very veeeery scared that I will be just stuck with all of them cuz I only have 2 normals.
