I mentioned this in anothet thread, but I bought two packs of Amiibo cards when I purchased the HHA/NFC bundle. All cards but one work fine. Everytime I try to get it to read Molly's card, I get an error message (amiibo not found, something along those lines.) Anyone else encountered any similar problems with their cards?

Maybe there is no chip inside.. Hmm, can you feel like a little rectangle bump on the Card somewhere?

From what Haydenn said, the card seems legit. Maybe the chip is broken? Try again and let the card rest on your amiibo reader instead of holding it up.

Maybe the chip itself is broken? Perhaps you were scanning it wrong? I'm honestly not too sure.. apologies.

No dice, tried multiple times with no luck. No issues with any of my other cards. Just was curious if anyone else had encountered similar problems with a dud card. Guess I will be contacting Nintendo, to see if they'll do anything. Bummer it was Molly.

I had it wrong at first.

Aim the NFC Reader (its light) to the left side of your 3DS game console. When you're ready to scan an Amiibo Card, you want the back side of a villager's card to be held slightly above the top
of the NFC Reader. (Meaning, the image of the villager is facing upward.)

This is the way I've learned to do it. Now, if there's a problem with an Amiibo, or a package of Amiibo, Cards…that's something you have to address.

Based on their first post, I think they know how to work the reader very well, as all their cards but one worked. This legitimately seems like a problem with the card itself.

So I see this thread is kind of old but im having the same problem with my Molly card.
All other cards work except for hers...

Try holding a working card an a non-working card up to the light. You should be able to see some sort of chip thing around where the amiibo logo is. That might help to see if theres something wrong with the chip
