Am I the only one who never bothers with turnips?

Bells

I just find them too stressful, having to decide if I should sell them or risk keeping them longer for something better. It might be made more worth it if I had more people to play with and more options for selling them, but even then I'm not sure I'd bother with them.

Ironically, I only bother with it if I already have a decent amount of money to spend. But I'm usually just doing projects and need the money for my daily activities...which means I can't spend it on turnips. Like...today, I needed to use 50K so I could move another building. I could have bought turnips with that...but I had other plans. Thus...another week without turnips. And, yeah...I could have grinded and made more bells before the end of the day, but I was really just doing a bunch of terraforming and island maintenance today. Simply had no time for that.

In the future, when I'm mostly happy with the way my island is...I will definitely be buying Turnips most weeks. But, not for now.

If it's 450+, sell. If less, don't. There are always enough opportunities to buy during the week such that missing out on an extra 100-150 bells per turnip isn't a big deal.

Because of all the current glitches, I'm not going to be playing online for some time.
Also, I heard that many people ask for a lot to enter their town to sell turnips in and I don't have that much money in-game at the moment.
I have bought a few just to interact with Daisy Mae for a while.

I never have before but I'm stuck in my house all day with nothing else to do besides obsessively check turnip prices, so it gives me something to look forward to every day. If life ever goes back to normal I'll probably stop but for now it's a good thing to pour my time into.

you’re not. i’ve never purchased turnips for any purpose besides having them rot so i could catch the ant - i just really don’t want to bother with them lmao. i prefer other ways to make bells such as fishing and buy catching; its more fun for me lol

I try to do it even if just with a small amount weekly, it is fun to me. Sadly i forget that daisy leaves early and because of that this is the first time i bought some.
I had such amazing prices the last two days but with no turnips to sell *cries*.

I didn't have any interest in it before this game tbh.

It isn't for everyone! Especially if you don't have "connections" to people with higher prices.

Same. Already have the house paid off minis the last one.

i buy a invertory full anymore that that i find stressful but there is a whole system based on turnips now which can take you like 3 hours to queue if good prices

I've never been interested in the turnip stalk market, I've always been too hesitant to take the risk. And since I don't have friends who play the game and going to someone's town who has a high price it seems really time-consuming since many will want to visit... I haven't really felt the need to participate. Yet, maybe I'll indulge in it during the summer! I'm becoming broke super quick with moving buildings and building bridges.

i generally make 2 mil+ per week with one pocket full of turnips - it's just a matter of joining discord servers/forums to look for people with high prices who are willing to let you sell.

I have a lot of coworkers who play so odds are, one of us is going to get 300+ in a week so its worth it. And don't have to deal with the island entry fees.

I tried it once back in Animal Crossing, but I think because I used to time travel, the turnips would rot the next day, so I always thought they'd only be fresh on Sunday and rot on Monday. I bought some turnips last weekend just to try it out after being told that they only rot on the upcoming Sunday. I haven't tried it again, but maybe I should. Like you, I worry that I might not find a perfect deal for selling them and end up missing out on an opportunity to do so.

I never did in NL. I'm trying my luck now because it is so much easier to go to another town to sell at a good price.

I usually don’t fiddle with them, but I bought a bunch today because they were 96 bells. Let the stress begin!!
