Am I missing something with this wedding event?

I've been doing Reese and Cyrus' photos every day and spending the crystals the wedding furniture...but I'm honestly struggling to spend them now!

I'm right in thinking the crystals will be useless after the end of June, right?

And the only way to get the wedding items is to spend the crystals?

That motivated me to stockpile the items up to now just in case I ever want to use them on my island, but there's only so many times I can spend 3 crystals to get a candle that I might use one day before it seems ridiculous! I've got multiples of the benches, candles, arches, flower stands etc... I can't see any need for more than one organ / wedding dress, though!

Am I missing a trick to all this? Should I be spending my crystals more wisely for some reason that I'm missing?

It all just seems like stockpiling for stockpiling's sake right now.

This is one instance where I wish we got more diys... because I don't want to have an inventory full of wedding stuff I may never use. The heart crystals should stack to 99 and let us store them until whenever we decide to craft something.

After about a week or so of buying the items with the crystals I decided that for me it’s easier if I just hoard the crystals and if I need any furniture I can TT back to June and buy what I need.
Mainly because i needed my storage space and I don’t mind TTing. I just made sure I’d bought everything at least once so I could use it on harvs island.
But since I reset my island yesterday I think this time around I’m just going to buy everything once and then keep some crystals and maybe the cake and tables because I could see me using those somewhere!

I really also wish it was a diy instead of the furniture. I plan on using the furniture in the future but I don’t have the space now. I also don’t know how many exactly I would be using just now.

Yeah, DIYs would make this so much better!

I'm similar, in that I'm buying stuff just in case I ever want it, but I have no real plan of how I might use it right now.

If we could keep the crystals and buy stuff at a later date, that would be great, too.

This would be great. I wish we could keep the crystals and then after Reese and Cyrus left, maybe we can call them through the phone option and order the items through there. Or if they become a permanent NPC after the event, and we can just buy it from them later on (or keep the crystals for other items Cyrus can build).

well it’s a different story for me because i want 4 organs for the castle decor i’ve been seeing on social media, i just realized it was that that they were using so i actually have no problem spending mine

I was kind of hoping that near the end of this event/month Nintendo might announce the update and within it Reece and Cyrus might be added as permanent NPCs. Maybe with their own island like harvs, maybe Cyrus might have some damn customisable fences lol. But also have a kiosk where you can purchase past event items.

Either that or triple the current storage!

You can spend them however you want. I think when it comes to the wedding clothes, all you need is one of each. However you've been decorating your anniversary photos is probably what items you should have been looking at and figuring out how you'd want to use them. Here's something that may inspire you and maybe may help you figure out what you want to spend your heart crystals on. I'm not going to make a wedding room, but by doing what I did, I'll know what I want to spend my heart crystals on.

Only some cool furniture and the Cyrus and Reese plate.. But If you really want those there are plenty of people selling those items
