So, I know I made a thread last night or two nights ago -- genuinely can't remember, I lose track of time so often. Anyways....

I know in my previous thread I'd be possibly be sharing more by showing the current map and I wouldn't really be showing much more than that, but I recently finished a small portion of the island and I'm pretty happy with it that I wanted to share it as a little bonus teaser. Granted, this is only the landscaping and not the decorating which I haven't even dreamed of starting yet. Though, I did decorate slightly in some areas to give me a vague idea of what I wanted to do for when the future comes around.

Anyways, here's the teaser. Do note as previously mentioned this is no where close to being finished, I just really wanted to share this small little area I've worked on today. It will more than likely change a fair bit in the coming weeks.

Appealing area and cute pic. Looks like it’ll achieve that cozy/natural feel!

(I do wish the fencing could go closer to the cliffs, but that’s just a general frustration I have with their placement)

Yeah. I planned for that, though. I'm placing fences this close to the cliffs because I plan on replanting fully grown trees to block the gaps that are there. Kinda using the natural surroundings to distract people from the fences, hopefully making them feel like more of an accent to the area rather than a decoration.

Trees between the cliff and fences? I thought those wouldn’t fit, but maybe I’m misunderstanding where you mean. I guess there could be more space behind Nook’s than I thought?

Also to be clear, I meant my frustration was with the limitations of fence placement in general—not in your work specifically!

Oh, I know. As for what I meant by using a tree to hide the gap, here's my fantastic paint skills to poorly explain what I meant:

Ahhh this makes so much more sense—you did say “block” and not “fill” the gaps, so it was definitely just me not seeing it in the moment.
And yeah, that should very effectively hide the gap from view; good thinking!
