I would like to have a 2nd character for my ACNL, but I'm still trying to plan where to put her house.

With my mayor character house, all my villagers put their house nearby. This is quite nice, as it's just one corner of my town where all the houses are, and the rest can be used for PWP & landscaping.

Has this happened to anyone else?

With the spot I'm thinking for my 2nd character, I don't want villagers to move near this house. So, I wondering if anyone thinks that character house placement influences where villagers put their houses? What's been your experience with having a second character, do the villagers start to move near their house?

Thanks for your help! :)

I don't know for sure if villagers tend to move near the players houses, but in my case, my villagers haven't moved near mine at all (:

mine don't move near me!
it seems like they're more likely to move onto patches of dirt. they usually move where there's a dirt patch or where another villager has moved out.

~ just make sure that if you ever delete the character that you are willing to wait a week for the brown patch to fade ~ all my villagers move onto old character plots which is why i deletes those characters xD

Villagers like to move to either places near other villagers, or places where villagers were before. All my villagers are in areas together, and marshal is on caroline and elmers old house spot (or at least near it)

Hmm, my villagers haven't plotted near me, but at the same time I can't verify whether or not this is a typical occurrence :) If you don't want villagers plotting near your second character you can always a) plot reset new villagers and b) put down PWPs around the second players house as deterrents (ex. fountains, lamps etc.). Hope this helps and good luck!
