I'd just want to hear all the theories you have and things you've discovered that are odd.

Seeing as Kapp'n is a Kappa, I've always wondered why the player isn't scared of going into a boat with him without a cucumber. Shouldn't the player be scared seeing as kappa are often known for drowning children?

Well, aren't haniwans clay models that are buried with the dead? So we could be talking about souls of dead people renting tools and collecting donations

A theory I was thinking of is that the Animal Crossing, Pokemon, and Mother series all exist on a post-apocalyptic Earth and all other Nintendo series exist as video games on their planet, which is why other Nintendo references exist in these franchises. After science has reached new heights, people start experimenting on animals and themselves. The human-animal crossbreeds became Animal Crossing, experimentation on animals to give them elemental abilities became Pokemon, and the psychic abilities came from experimentation on themselves (or evolution) that exist in both certain Pokemon trainers and Mother that allowed them to survive in the world of Pokemon. However, the Animal Crossing villages are isolated and people are sent to gather information on them by the government, which is the player's character. (some of this was taken from the Game Theory youtube channel)

Obviously in Pokemon the lore says that Mew created all Pokemon so I guess that throws my theory out the window. My theory also doesn't explain fossil Pokemon either.

That's an amazing theory. The fossil pokemon... Hmm... Lets just say there's a Pokemon Jurassic Park.

I mean, I guess my theory still holds up as long as the Pokemon connection is removed. Maybe it's just possible that people started experimenting with human-animal hybrids and people didn't like them, so they sent them to isolated villages connected to each other by train as a humane way of getting rid of them. Then to further their studies of animal-human hybrids, they sent humans to the villages to see what they were like.

What if that the first time they tried that, that explains the fossil pokemon. And as Mew, he's the head scientist of that project. Maybe some AC animals gone crazy and were killed (explaining the lost animals between series) and kept making more and more animals O.O

That makes sense. I guess the DNA of some animals that were killed was used to bring them back (which explains some AC characters disappearing is WW and coming back in CF).

Reminds me of that horror fanfic let's play of WW. Forgot its name unfortunately.

I like to imagine that Ketchup was the leader of the rebellion that got some animals killed between games.

I have a theory..What if The Player's Mother Is 'Dead' & she's Just sending Letters from Heaven?
Based off a comic I read.

Hmm, it's possible. Or it could be pre-written letters that someone else is sending, which is why you can't write back.

How about substance abuse? I know this is taking a dark turn, but it's something I've thought of for a while
Mushrooms that make you 'grow', 'perfect fruit' that make you blush and feel fuzzy. I'm calling something shady.

Then there could the theory that all of it is a drug-induced hallucination, or a coma.

I remember looking up Gyroids once and finding out that they are called "Haniwa" in Japan, and I looked that up and was pretty shocked at what that was...You are basically digging up graves when you dig up Gyroids, no? :O

Well digging out Gyroids isn't much worse than digging out fossils. (you know, it's still dead stuff?)
That being said, I'd like to see a prehistoric Animal Crossing where all animals were dinosaurs or something.

Perhaps Lyle is a possessed gyroid? But of the helpful kind. Which explains why a pyramid or stonehenge can be built overnight

I get your point, I think it feels creepier when its a more recent grave. A prehistoric Animal Crossing could be quite interesting!
