Achieving the "Happy Home Gold" Badge

More recently, I have been working to collect as many badges from Phineas as possible. At the moment, I'm a bit puzzled that I haven't acquired the Happy Home Gold badge. From what I read that is required, I needed 150,000 points? Is that the correct condition? For me, I have accumulated well over 1,000,000 points and more, since I unlocked all of the Golden exterior from Lyle at Tom Nook's store. Or is the point system I'm referring to the completely wrong one to focus on?

At the moment, I have both Bronze and Silver badges regarding the Happy Home badges. It just seems weird to me that the Gold one isn't unlocked yet. Can someone give me some direction?

And for some reason, albeit off the topic, I don't remember getting my Gold House model. That also requires 150,000 points; just like the gold badge. Regardless, the gold exterior prizes were unlocked. Perhaps I got the model but accidentally sold it. Dunno.

I believe it might be referring to the non-theme challenges points?

idk, I got my gold before I even finished paying off all my loans (probably the easiest gold to get in the game)

You might be right about that. I'll have to go give Lyle a visit tomorrow then to see what I can do.

I had the same question before. Go talk to Lyle and opt-out of the theme challenge. Then next day you should get the gold badge from Phineas and the model in the mail C:
If you already unlocked all the gold exterior, I see no point in the theme challenge anyways, unless you enjoy it xD

Just wanted to say, it worked! After opting out of the theme challenge, I got 150,000 points and my gold house model came in the mail. Then I found Phineas and he gave me my badge! Now I feel relieved about all this. Thanks guys for helping me out, too.
