If you're from the UK, you may be going through the frustrating experience of seeing blue rectangles around the site announcing that certain content is not viewable to you, which is particularly apparent on the desktop site when viewing user signatures. From 30 September 2025, Imgur has blocked access to the site in the United Kingdom due to not being able or willing to meet UK regulatory standards. Imgur has not yet announced whether they plan to reopen access to the UK in the future.
What that means is that if there are any images on TBT that are hosted on Imgur, members in the UK will not be able to see those images, and instead they will see a blue rectangle like the image below.
While we don't have a solution for the inconvenience this causes, one temporary solution for the unsightly signatures is for people who are affected by this to turn off being able to see signatures. It's very simple, and I've provided instructions below.
In the meantime, if you'd like to host an image, and would like your fellow TBTers in the UK to be able to see it, I'd recommend hosting on another site, such as using the free version of imagebb or another free hosting site!

Step 1: Click on your name/profile picture at the top of the site screen, and then click Preferences.
Step 2. Scroll down the page until you see Content options, and then de-select "Show people's signatures with their messages". Click Save, and you're done!
