Aaaaauuugh!! Plot resetting!!!

I think plot resetting is better for people who just want an "okay" spot that doesn't ruin anything. The rest of us who have pre-determined sweet spots are the ones who suffer >___<

but I will still plot reset D<

Also, regarding PWPS. I was considering this and have since started putting flow beds everywhere.. BUT I realized it just opens up new possibilities and there's no way I could possibly narrow down everything... On the other hand, my villagers are usually very good with not trampling on my stuff on the first random plot. It's when I start resetting that they start messing things up. Except for Caroline that plotted smack dab in the middle of my orchard. Stupid wifi T___T WE ARE NEVER SAFE.

omg, campsite resetting is worse imo. too many possibilities @___@

I spent 4 hours getting Kabuki to move where I wanted him. Worth it...but verrrry tedious.
Today I spent three hours plot resetting for my ninth villager which was only producing uchi villagers. Luckily
I finally got Agnes but for the first two hours it was only Sylvia and Diva spawning. ;_;

All the best! Plot resetting's one annoying task when a dreamie moves in. :( I usually spot which are the 'hotspots' that houses love to appear in (from past plot resets) and build PWPs on those particular spots that I don't want them to.

I tried plot reseting like 8 times and Phoebe's plot wouldnt move at all
I had this happen to me when I was resetting Phoebe's plot. Many times her house would be on the top right corner of the map and it really bothered me because she was so far away from the other houses. Gave it a rest and then when I came back, accidentally logged into my mayor and discovered she moved her house to a different location. It's somewhat okay but I'm glad she didn't stick to that one spot.

Since then, I've placed PWPs in the locations her house appeared in despite the fact there was a perfect spot right where a former villager used to live that she could have plotted but didn't.

Ooooo she plotted on an edge right next to my entrance main for the police station. It sucked

It's possible, it just might take awhile! At least you didn't plot reset your whole town all over again just to move houses down/over by 2 tiles like i did just so i could fit a 10th villager in nicely.

I did that with Zucker, Biff, and Cranston. All of them were going to locations I didn't much care for. Eventually I got each on where I wanted them, though Biff and Cranston's houses aren't in the exact spot my previous villagers were, but they're close enough and not cutting into my paths, so it's all good in the neighborhood. xD

iamnothyper, I think the same - it's great for people who just don't need the houses to be in a perfect place, but for those of us who like the town to be a certain way, well... it's kinda nightmarish. XD def not wanting to see rover's face for some time.
What I did in my town was to place PWP's in places I'd REALLY not wish to see people moving in - for example, right in front of my house there's a sign, there's a clock in front of the bulletin board, etc. The rest of the town, well, it can wait.

melsi, sometimes the game random settings are really just not random XD Congrats on getting Agnes! All the patience pays off in the end.

Silverwind, thank you! And yeah, that's what I do as well. But sometimes even if we do those things the plot will always find a way to sit in the worst spot possible. XD

Cadbberry, I know that feel and it's an awful feel. :( Butch would keep on choosing the same spots as well. Good luck, really!

Heisenberg, you're welcome. All the luck in the world for us!

Whoa, Sholee, that's dedication to your town. I don't have the patience even to make them in a row, I wonder how much time did you take to make everyone so lined up! Your town must look very pretty! *-*

ACNL noodle, good luck! I hope you can find the perfect spot for him soon, Eric is a cutie! :D

Uffe, it is good when things go our way!

Butch finally moved to a decent spot!! It is not perfect - I had to destroy all the pathing around these villagers' houses, but it's way better than the other spots that he chose before, so I'm pretty happy! (Please forgive the awful flowerbed, I haven't decided on what to do with those)
Sometimes all you need is to take a break, stop playing a while and the game might be kind for you.
Also: I guess time travelling MIGHT help a bit on shaking up a bit the random pattern. I was two days ahead, I changed the DS time to today and the plot placements changed drastically. Maybe you guys can try this out!

Thank you everyone for the kind words and good ideas - and GOOD LUCK to everyone who's having this nightmare! You WILL find a good place, have faith!

I never plot reset before, but recently decided I would start doing it because I'm getting serious about designing my town. Well.. I totally forgot Cranberra was moving in, and forgot to check with a new character.. but it turns out she put her house where the previous resident was. I am so lucky she didn't destroy any flowers. This is the second time a villager has moved to the same spot as another, even though I have tons of open space in my town.
