A week ago my 3DS died, and when I went to plug it in the charging light wouldn't turn on.
This happened out of the blue, I have no idea what's wrong. I have tried plugging the charger into all the outlets in the house but none work.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
I don't know whether the charger is broken or my 3ds is. My boyfriend says it's probably the 3ds battery but I don't want to go out and buy a new one before I know for sure what the problem is.
Any ideas?
You should borrow someone else's 3DS charger, or if you have to, buy a new one. If that doesn't work, if you have any place in your area that fixes 3DS's (I don't know any places in particular, sorry. ^.^') go to them see if it is broken or if you just need a new battery.
Definitely try with a different charger before sending your 3DS in for repair (or buy a new battery and repair it yourself). Sounds like the charger might just be dead.
Yes, borrow someone else's 3DS charger first. If it still doesn't work, take it to repair to see what's wrong and what can be done to get it fixed.
I had a similar problem with charging mine, and price, wait, and hassle to get it fix was ridiculous! So I just bought a new 3DS. Note, I live in New Zealand so this explains a lot...
Are you sure the charger isn't ripped? A few years ago my DS charger was ripped and exposing the wires, luckily I was able to get some help and my parents it fixed with some electrical tape.
