3.0 update what will you do first?

first, Dream islands lol. I’ve been wanting to make an island called Hogwarts but I can’t since I don’t wanna restart so I would use the dream islands to make a mini version!
Also want the Lego stuff.
Also want the splatoon crossover stuff.
Ooh I am so freakin excited
Also the new little hotel thing looks fun not gonna lie : )

Darn that's a shame. I wish each resident had their own QR storage.

I agree I still kinda overuse the QR spaces & need a lot of space for designs and i wish they added a little bit about QR stufff but it’s ok!

I'll probably go check out the hotel first, and after that I'd like to make use of Resetti's new service as well as put some flowers and trees into storage.

The hotel will likely need to be funded and built, which will take a day IRL if not Time Travelling. So I imagine the best thing for me to do first would be to checkout Slumber Islands. But honestly, I want to read the patch notes more than anything.

Oh right!!! I completely forgot about that! I'll be soooo happy to get rid of my random flower patches that are all over my island, and also this one big garden area I made to preserve every flower color. It was taking up so much space and removing it will be a delight

Definitely use Resetti to get rid of ALL THE FLOWERS THAT HAVE INVADED MY ISLAND! Seriously, the flower growth rate in this game is a total nightmare compared to previous ones. Every time I listened to Isabelle’s advice to “plant more flowers to increase your Island’s rating,” the flowers grow out of control within a week and I’m spending literal hours trying to dig up the flowers that I don’t want and tossing them away and get tired and call it a day only to find twice as many flowers the next morning! I’ve had to reset my Island completely four times because of this issue. I only planted four Mums to try to get a rare color on this Island and even that has gotten out of hand. It’s even worse when the shovel you’re using long after Nook’s Cranny closed for the night breaks on you and you don’t have the right crafting items or tools to go get them to make the sturdier shovel you need! I mean how am I supposed to collect enough stones and iron ore if I don’t have a shovel or axe that isn’t going to break after twenty hits?

It's replacing the dock.

Think of it like how Resident Services goes from a tent and dirt patch to a building and paved plaza

It will 100% always be on your dock. However, the dock will still be there (it'll just be longer than before); so you can still continue to catch fish there as well (especially fish specifically located by the dock).

I was hyped for the update, but now I don't feel like it's a good update after hearing more about it from videos relating to Nintendo answering questions about it for creators a month ago..

To me, at this point, I will not be doing anything with the hotel when the update comes out. It's just a free Happy Home Paradise/Designer that we can't even have visiting hotel residents move in. I am an autistic player with no creative mind and decision making is hard for me. so I can't do much with room making. I don't see a point in the hotel part of the update when we can't do anything with it that benefits our islands.

I was trying to rehaul/revamp my island a small bit to prepare, but now... meh, not feeling like doing it anymore since I have no creative mind nor do I have furniture items to do this. I don't even have the bells to complete loans making me just stuck at 400 slots in my ingame home storage, and I don't have NSO, so i'm not sure what to do to get the most amount of bells for day.

It's apart of our islands, and 1 more thing to sink your time into each day. It's certainly going to liven things up more. I would certainly say the Hotel benefits your island far more than say...the Roost? Or Harv's Island Pre-v2.0

It may not be as great as HHP, but keep in mind HHP is paid content. I don't know the full details, but since the Hotel is on your island, your friends may have the chance to view it in multiplayer.

According to the trailer, the hotel guests have the ability to roam the island. It's possible the Hotel will work like the campsite, and give you a chance to invite these guest to live at your island permanently. For those without Amiibos, this is a great opportunity to find villagers.

Aside from the Hotel, this update brings QOL features like bulk crafting and craft from storage. And don't forget, it's bringing us Slumber Islands.

Actually it was confirmed by multiple YT creators (those creators got early access and such last month) that the hotel guests are roaming only and will have no chance to live on your island permanently.

And Slumber Islands are fully required to have NSO, which I do not have.

Bulk crafting and craft from storage are the only good things about the 3.0 update.

Resetti! Glad he has more purpose now. Restarted my island on Christmas and haven’t touched the back of my island since. I’m curious how many nook mile points it will cost each individual time to clear an area

booting out any villager that you dont want whenever you want: being able to choose the next villager without cards etc. campground Might be acceptable if they rotate camping villagers more often or allow you to boot out who you want and the campsite villager takes it place.

recipes must change from what you've gotten already, to what you do not have *without having to change villager types or on the beach, balloons, visiting other islands etc* within 3 months.
this includes the paradise edition.

be able to turn off music.
not the music that folks put where ever, the music that the game produces always. I want to hear the natural sounds without other factors.

make pocket camp items available to everyone!!

I love this game. ive been playing since gamecube. the villagers would steal your items in that one!
