2nd profile? What are the benefits?

I find it useful if you want to use the houses as buildings. I have a second profile to use the house as an inn with themed bedrooms. Was hoping it would unlock extra design space but it doesn't. That and all the extra space to get resources and paintings from Red. I plan to make another profile and make a house for my sister in her style (she passed recently) as a tribute to her. So, perks are more creativity, resources and just use of extra space if you have empty space on your island you don't know what to do with.

I got one to farm Redd and also have a tent permenantly set up in my campsite area.

Major con is how much my villagers talk about the my 2nd player now even though I never spoke to any of them as the 2nd player

You mean if they have their own space for custom designs? No, it shares the same designs as your main character unfortunately.

More rooms to decorate. If you manage to pay off loans this helps a lot. And more storage is nice too. I had a total of 4 homes in New Leaf and ran out of room by my second year of playing. There aren't that many sets of furniture I want to display now and some of the rooms lack space, but I still have ideas so I made 2 extra profiles.

I felt like it's lacking if I only have 6 rooms so I've made 2 more characters and possibly thinking of making another. I'm not sure about the latter, but I'm pretty satisfied that the island feels more complete now that there are a lot more houses and decorated rooms.

i just expected it because of new leaf. but actually because of the DIY nature of ACNH, & rarer visiting NPC, the pros easily outweigh the cons for me.

I 100% agree without my second character's storage, I'd be stuck with hundreds of things that had no place to go lol. And being able to have different themed houses is amazing!

also for someone like me who doesn't TT, i can order 5 more items on nook per day. it comes handy when you want a lot of books & magazines for DIYs.

My second character has like 50 books and 50 magazines in storage right now XD I kinda wish that sending items to your second character didn't count towards your 5 total. My second character doesn't have much in their catalogue at all so I'm limited with what they can order.

what i do is, when i want my 2nd character to catalog something, i leave the item in front of my house so when i play with 2nd character i can just pick it and it'll go to their inventory anyway to save space on mine haha. i actually have been playing quite a lot with 2nd character too, so sometimes i end up with balloon items that i don't have for my main villager. so it goes back & forth haha.

The only reason I would get another one would be for storage space. But some people also get them to make it an additional building that they can decorate. I know some ppl who got a new profile to turn the entire house into a wedding chapel or a fancy restaurant.

I've a second profile. I use it mainly for more storage, but here's some more pluses that I've used:

- Extra try at Gulliver. (Random Item)
- Extra bottle DIY. (Random DIY)
- Extra villager crafting DIY. (Same DIY)
- Glowing Dig Spot
- Submit more bug/fish models.
- Buy another Redd artwork.

I have two other profiles and it helps me a lot by giving me the ability to collect more diys or items whether it be from the beach or the villagers. An example of this is me racking up on those heart crystals easily. If I continue to do the quests then by the end of the even I'am able to collect 4000 heart crystals. When it comes to space, it's actually the opposite considering I don't need to dedicate a large area towards a restaurant, instead I can move everything inside. I only play on the other ones when I need to collect stuff. So in my downtime not really. However, I think the biggest benefit of more profiles is the extra storage space.

What are heart Crystal's? I've never heard of them...

I likes having multiple characters so I can design them and their houses each differently.I have plans to make all eight humans from Undertale(Chara, Frisk and the other 6 human souls) But I'm gonna focus on Chara and Kris(Patience) for now.

Does anyone know if watering flowers with the 2nd profile counts as a visitor?
