16 villager cycle question

I know with the update you can get dreamies back even if they recently moved out with the amiibo cards, but what about inviting a villager the old way - will that work? I need Stitches back!

ok thanks for letting me know, i never got into collecting the cards so i guess i'll have to stick to doing it the hard way for now

I had this same question and it seems unconfirmed -- but you can use the invitation process to complete your 16-villager cycle quickly, and hopefully that will work! I hope to test it out but my main priority now is building secret storerooms and cleaning up my dump-like towns lol
