I believe instead of using the white brush, he must have used the color red/blue to make it more vibrant. That's what I think o: You'll have to ask him what he did, since he's the one who made it XD (Unless you want me to try to light up your sig with gimp and if it works I'll let you know how to do it in gimp XD )

LOL Of course ahaha I use borders all the time. To make a simple black border do the following:

1. Go to "Select" then click on "All" > Go to "Select" again then click on "Shrink" > For that small black border just leave it as "1 px" then hit okay> Then go to "Select" again and click on "Invert" > Now make a new layer then go to your "Bucket Fill Tool" (Make sure you have it on "Fill whole selection" and not "Fill similar colors" ) > Now use that tool and fill in the inverted area

And that's it! c: Make sure that border layer is ALWAYS on top.

So by lighten up, what exactly do you mean? o: Like how bright are you looking for? (Examples of what you mean would be great <: ) Also have you tried putting the mode on "Soft Light"? XD

That looks really nice!~ c: As for the C4D maybe you could try to make it blend in more with the color scheme!~ An easy way to make it blend in with the colors is first click on your c$D layer, then go to "Colors" then "Colorize" and mess with the first line!~ It'll change the C4D's colors!~

Sometimes plain texts are just too plain >: It's easier to make text look good and blend in when you use effects!~ c: You see my text I added onto the sig I recently made you? It was a mixture of a gradient effect and gloss effect!~ c:
