Why no flippers?

There are 8 different wet suits to choose from for diving. We can get a diving hood from Able Sisters and a snorkel from the island gift shop, but why no flippers from the island or Kicks to complete the ensemble? Seems shortsighted

That would be AWESOME!

I remember b4 they removed the Net Glitch in the Welcome Amiibo Update, I would go to CT, and Glitch on top of the Hut. Then I'd fall/jump off so I'd land in the ocean and I would be swimming without I wetsuit. They were so confused lol
