At first I didn't want this game because I didn't like not having a town to run around and do anything in but now I'm thinking about getting this game after seeing some threads...

wandering around town, selling things, gathering things, your own home, in game currency, mail, idk, basically everything except items to decorate with or wear.

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is a different game, like entirely different. Almost not comparable.

To put it in a list, Happy Home Designer differs from Animal Crossing in these ways: (as far as I'm aware)

-No fishing
-No bug catching
-Therefore no fishing or bug tourneys
-No diving
-No town you can walk around so no landscaping
-No house of your own
-No home loans / repayments
-No island and no island tours
-No events e.g. Halloween
-No badges
-No using tools such as slingshot, shovel, watering can etc.
-No growing your own flowers or hybrids

Not sure about these:
-No shopping for items
-No unlocking shops
-No Bells

No in game currency and you do unlock the ability to build shops but not to shop at shops.
