Lost Art - Desperately Need Your Help, Please

The other day there was a problem with my laptop. After it was fixed I wanted to use a QR code I had in my "ACNL" file. When I went to open the file it was gone. The WHOLE file - all my of QR codes, almost 2 years worth of pics from my main town Cutetown, all the pics from my 2nd town Sheepish and ALMOST ALL OF MY ART. All I have left are a few things I uploaded to DA - most of my sigs & a couple of pieces I use as refs. All of the other art - art pieces others created for me & stuff I created is gone. POOF! I've tried to recover the file but since I don't know what caused it to be deleted I haven't been successful.

I had a lot of wonderful art from the artists here on The Bell Tree. I had mayor art, art of my alt Mary & some art of villagers. I've been depressed about the loss of this file since I realized it was gone but now I'm going to try to get back some of what I lost. To do that I need all of your help. If you've ever done an art piece for me on here, please send me a link to it so I may have it again.
You can either post here in this thread or send me a PM if you'd like.

Seeing these might help you know if you did any art for me.

Update: I think I've gotten almost all of my lost art back but I know of at least one piece I'm still missing. I'm missing a drawing of Mayor Val & Molly. If any one remembers doing of piece like that for me please let me know. Thank you!​

Noo Val! This horrible I?m so sorry this happened to you! Did you try checking your liked posts possibly from a while back to find art threads your replied to and asked art from? I?m sure they would?ve gave you your link from there, right? I?m not entirely sure but I can go ahead and check some older threads to see if you requested art from there.

I'm sorry to hear you lost your files, this is one of my fears as both an artist and commissioner. While I'm not sure if it's possible to get your files back from your computer, I try to upload what I can on deviantart's sta.sh, which can be completely private to you or public (if you share a link for others to look at your files!) Or maybe even imgur if that helps? Hopefully you get your artworks back, I wish you the best!

Thank you. I'm actually am on DA but not as much as I used to be. I used to upload everything on there but then stopped when I wasn't as active. I wish I had kept the habit going. I did find some of the QR codes I lost in my sta.sh and my sigs are there so I'm relieved about that. I can't make any changes to the sigs I created since the master files are gone but at least I have the sigs themselves. Thank you for the good wishes! Fingers crossed!

Thank you. I was actually worried about this myself & had just bought a thumb drive that I was going to copy all of my ACNL files to but my computer ate the file before I could transfer it. Definitely get yourself a thumb drive & save your files. Losing all of my art & my photos from my towns really got me down. Tbh, I'm still not over it even though I'm trying to move on.

I'm so happy you posted these! I didn't have the Happy New Year or Season's Greetings pieces on DA. I would have been so sad not to have them. I'm going to save everything I have so far to my thumb drive today. Thank you so much for the links!

Yes! Oh yes! That's the piece! Whenever I get art I save it with a title and "by artist" so I always know who created it. When everything disappeared I didn't have the names of the artists to contact everyone. I am so happy to have this piece back! Thank you so much, Kammm!
